    Schick Type B1 - Repeater
    Schick Proline [ 6 ]
    Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion

Not my usual choice for a Sunday Morning Shave, but as I was in no particular rush I thought I could rise to the challenge of using a repeater. One of the things that I have learnt is never rush a Shave, and by taking care today I had a rather satisfyingly close Shave with the BI. I felt that the blade had seen its day in this razor as I found it not so good when working on the tip of the chin.

    Jayaruh #313
    Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
    Henckels Wedge
    CWR
    Cella After Shave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a Henckels Wedge blade. It was not as close as I would like, so I did a clean up pass with my Schick G and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday shave - I chosen my recently acquired Schick 500 injector that I have been neglecting and it gave me a great morning shave. Schick injectors are such a easy razor to use IMO, just get the right pressure and a easy angle to figure out and WahLa.

    Razor : Schick injector 500 Hydro-magic-MFG 1957-64
Blade : Personna injector SS PTFE (3)
Soap: Razorock "What the puck" orange
Brush : Yaqi Rainbow with brown knot 26 mm+
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + A dollop of Aloe Vera gel.
Post shave : Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave : Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
    Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + alum indicated minor irritation + no weepers= [IMG]

GEMonday for myself today, I just love using this Gem Junior 1912 Parade. I have a lot of inexpensive razors and expensive ones but this little jewel blows the whole lot away some days.

Razor: Gem Junior 1912 Parade model- MFG 1943 Variant
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (5)
Soap: Razorock "What the puck" orange
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow brown whiskers 26mm+
Preshave : Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap
Postshave: Razorock American barber aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + No irritation + no weepers = [IMG]

Schick '500' Type L9, Personna blade, shave 2
    [IMG] [IMG]

Reshave with confirms the first shave with this razor was a dud because the Proline blade was done. Next statements still holds true. This is one far as I know was never produced or sold in the US. Even though it is model '500' razor like the J3 and J4 razors, that is all that it shares in common with them. It shaves nothing like a J3 or J4. What It does shave like when the blade is not dulled out is I think like a Type M adjustable at about halfway on the dial. It has that Type L injector feel to it if you know what I mean but it has some bite at the same time. It still is not a BBS close shave on the jaw but it is on the cheeks. The Type L8 Schick Golden I still think is the best of the Type L razors I've used so far. Next a reshave with the L1 since that first shave was definitely also a dud.

Yesterday I put the two Shovelheads I have up against each other with a 2nd use Ted Pella blade shared between them. I have heard that the short neck version is more aggressive and I would agree. Today I put the curved top squathead against the flat top with the Ted Pella on its 3rd use. I didn't have very much stubble for a fair comparison so I will revisit this matchup later. However I believe the curved top is the slightly more aggressive of the two.

Reshave and with a good blade a different shave. End result I think this one shaves like the L9. Same shave same end result. This razor is not what I would term a mild razor either but it should perform better for what it is.
