    The Grosvenor [ 404 -mixed ]
    Vitos Super Red
    Occam- Enoch
    Feather Proguard [ 4 ]
    Grey Flannel A/S Lotion

Have moved on from the Hiram to the Enoch which some may prefer as its smaller and lighter. This is my first stand up Shave with the Enoch, and it was not bad, quite agile but I personally like the handle length and weight of the Hiram. I may have rushed a bit as the finish was not as good as I have had previously especially around the Jawline and neck.

I've been shaving with @twhite 's TAR this week, but Sunday is for lather catchers. The CTAPT Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #340 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor with a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I'm not familiar with the TAR
That's a sweet C.V., I haven't tried any wedge blades yet. Did you hone it or have it honed?

That is an original CVH blade. @twhite is my go to hone guy. I just strop it to keep it sharp. I love shaving with the wedges. This was a very close shave today.
Here is everything TAR from my blog: http://jrshaving.blogspot.com/search/label/TAR
Tom has made an Alumi[-TAR, too. It is coming to me this week for evaluation. Tom has a sign up list for a pass around.

I'll have to do some reading when I get a minute. Just taking a quick look that thing looks like a beast. And I mean that in a good way.

Yesterday's and today shaves both went very well. I dis a cold water/lather shave both days. While I love the luxurious lather of a hot water shave I seem to be getting better results from the cold water. One definite advantage is the lather isn't drying out on me with the cold water shaves.

I love the J.A. Henkles Rapide razor. The handle is fantastic both in length and grip. And the razor shaves great. The Pal adjustable is a really good shaver and the handle is a great length for me. However the low amount of grip is a bit disappointing. I have thought about modifying the handle to add some grip.

First shave with a Schick Proline AC blade graciously sent to me by forum member jgreenepa. Without question the shave was smoother and just as efficient as the Feather Artist Club Professional blade I had been using. Plus, post shave face feel much improved over the Feather.
Now to search for a reliable supply.

    gorgo2 geezerhood

When I had one, I considered adding a thin strip of self-adhering grip tape to the back. I'd seen some in gray and figured it would look ok. Never got around to it.

I was thinking something more drastic like some file work. But the self adhesive may be a good alternative. Possibly a brush on or dip finish. I'm not sure what products might work well for that though.
