Shaved it like it was straight razor adhering to little to no pressure and skin stretching. Only difference would be a matter of the blade angle. Still needed 5 passes to get to a BBS finish but much closer with the skin stretching.

Seems an age since I last used this heavy weight, and it was very enjoyable. With a nice lather its quite amazing how by letting the weight be guided with the lightest of touch, the whiskers disappear with ease. Could perhaps have finished off the neck a bit better.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher with a Pal CS blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella Balsamo Dopobarba. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday shave March 1st 2020- I'm kind of doing a slow marathon shave with this blade, it's amazing the longevity you can receive from a Twin II blade(Japan MFG?). It is showing signs of getting a little duller but still good for some more shaves.
    Twin blades (2).jpg

Razor : Stick Schick injector theme razor- MFG 1973
Blade : Schick twin II injector(29)
Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum- good soap- mild scent with great lather qualities IMO.
Brush : Yaqi timber wolf 24mm - great synthetic brush.
Pre-shave: brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch Hazel+ Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] good shave!

I had an excellent shave this morning. Things started off with a little Proraso white balm and a dab of Lubriderm. I was inspired by others to slow down and really concentrate on deliberately apply little to no pressure. I tend to get impatient with the stubborn spots and get heavy handed to try to overcame resistant hairs. Also rinsing with cold water between each pass as @Ron R has been mentioning. I whipped the lather up with hot water and a dab of coconut oil. The lather was drying out a bit on my neck because I was taking it extra slow, so I chilled the lather in the bowl with a splash of cold water mixed in then ran cold water on the outside of the metal bowl. This work very well. The lather stayed perfectly hydrated the rest of the shave. The Henckels Rapide was used for the bulk of the shave doing 3 passes on most of the shave and 4 in some areas. The Schick G was used on a cleanup of the toughest spots on my neck to catch a few stubborn stray hairs. The result was a nearly irritation free shave that was very close. Twelve hours later and I'm still smooth except for each side of the adams apple were I have the most troublesome hairs.

Another quite early AC Razor that I pleased to have got hold of, as it delivers very good Shaves without any problems. I think that I am rather rushing my Shaves at the moment, but the one today was not all bad in terms of finish quality.

GEMonday March 2 2020, Pulled out my Gem Jr Parade and it's like we are one together when it comes to fine shaving, I really enjoyed my shave like usual with this razor. Not sure if it is the audio feedback while shaving or just the results at the end of the shave that puts a smile on my face!

Razor: Gem Junior parade with the baton handle- Mfg 1943 variant
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (9)
Soap: Razorock "The Dead Sea" - nice scent with great lather qualities.
Brush : Razorock Noir 400 Plissoft synthetic black whiskers.
Pre-shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock T.D.S aftershave with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= [IMG] [IMG]great shave and hit the sweet spot.

I had an excellent Gemonday today with the Gem pushbutton Contour with Meijer SS blade. I practiced a very light tuch and patience. I tend to get impatient and heavy handed in the more stubborn areas of the shave, which happen to be exactly were the skin on my neck is more sensitive. The prep was Proraso white balm with a little Lubriderm. The lather was Mer shavings fougère orange donkeys milk soap on SHD two band badger. A splash of witch hazel with a little lotion mixed in finish things off.

    Tues 3rd March.

    The Grosvenor [ 404 -mixed ]
    Tabac Soap
    Alu.General/ Windrose handle
    Schick Proline [ 3 ]
    Tabac A/S Lotion

I think finally I have settled on a handle that works well for me with the Alu.General head. I have tried various combinations, and at one time did not use it at all for 6 months plus. With a super Tabac lather the Shave was ultra smooth and very forgiving, and probably one of the best I have had with this Razor, especially around the troublesome neck area.

    Williams Wed 4th March

    Simpson Chubby 1 / Maggards 2band
    Williams Mug Soap
Alu. Hawk V1 / Ikon handle
    Feather Pro [ 2 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion.

Though I quite enjoyed a Shave with the Alu. General yesterday, the one today was a lot more satisfying. Doing the Shave there was a nice degree of blade feel, so it was easy to determine the progress of the Shave. I am sure it would bite if one did not concentrate, but I managed to complete the Shave without any problems and if anything a finish superior to that of yesterday.
For anyone wishing to sample AC/SE Razors the up to date version has to be in the frame, as it is very reasonably priced and IMHO a great Razor if fitted with a S/S Handle.
