The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #400 brush. I took a break from my Black Beauty to use my Dad's Schick E3 in his honor. He made the wooden handle for this razor. Today, he would have been 106. He lived to be 83. I still miss him.

Two passes and touch ups with the My Dad's Schick E3 with a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Wednesday Shave
    [IMG]
    Razor: Wilkinson Pall Mall
    Blade: Wilkinson Wedge
    Brush: B-400 by Tom
    Soap:palmolive Cream
    AS: Florida Water

Tonight was a shave for me. I have not really relaxed and committed to a nice slow leisurely shave in months. Tonight was the night.

I haven’t used any wedges in a few months. So tonight I busted out my strip and Pall Mall and went to town. After a nice relaxing shower, I proceeded to really enjoy a shave. The Palmolive lathered great with the boar. I took extra time just to massage my face with the brush.

On to the shave. I really went slow and was rewarded with a DFS to BBS Shave. No feedback from my Aluminum block. Splashed on some Florida Water. I am smelling , looking and feeling great.

    Tom

I really like that razor. Do they also accept a modern blade without an adapter or are they wedge only?

    Cyril Salter / MS. ED2band
    Lea Classic soap
    Occams- Enoch
    Feather Proguard [ 4 ]
    Lea Classic A/S Lotion

I am now getting used to the Shaving angle on this Razor , and had a good Shave. The Shave was very smooth and comfortable but took some time, I think I perhaps need to try a Feather Pro when a blade change os needed.

I don’t know. I will se if they fit. I much prefer wedges. I know lots of people prefer SE’s though.

Hello Tom, are you glad 4 for March is over and now you can pick your soaps and razors at random? I would not do so well 4 for March(I'm spoiled for variety) and take my hat off to you guys.

You make a great point for the Featherweight breaking in a fresh blade. Using a new blade in the heavier Micromatics makes for a much more focused, careful shave for sure.

I have a few wedge blades but I haven't shaved with one. I need to get some lapping film and rebuild my sharpening skills. It's been a long time and I traded most of my hones for some early 1900s SEs And a few other razors.

I find I use milder Gems for new Gem blades the shaves are just that much nicer and after 2 or 3 shaves I can jump up into the Gem aggressive razors if wanted. You could cork a blade also if you do not have milder Gems.
