    RazoRock 400 SE Plissoft noir
    Arko Stick- grated
    Schick N3
    Schick S/S Twin -Japan [ 6 ]
    Pitralon Original A/S Lotion.

After a weekend using Occams SEs , I went back to my Injector rotation. I moved on to those using Twin Blades, and rather spoilt my self using the N3. IMHO the N3 is the best original Schick that I have tried which takes a Twin Blade, and that includes an Adjustable that I have not used since getting the N3.
Today was my second use of the Brush, and slightly dampened really picks up the lather from the Arko, and applies with a feather light touch around the Face. I know the Arko has its detractors but I do not mind its scent, and find it produces a great lather to Shave with. Shave wise all went very well, and the finish all round was Top Notch. The N3 is one of those Injectors that can deliver a similar quality of finish to the ones I get with some of my AC/SE Razors.

The Proraso Green Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #340 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Russian SHaDE Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. GEMonday for me today, I read up on these new razors and was thinking of purchasing one and a lot of feed back is indicating mild razor or mid razor range, its clear that my Gem Junior bar lather catcher has all that and works like a charm. I still might be buying something in the fall possibly just for the sake of buying something[IMG]. I'm on a self inflicted sabbatical until black Friday or cyber Monday or when a good deal is in the works.

Razor : Gem Junior bar lather catcher- MFG 1907-09 just a great razor to work with & excellent daily driver IMO.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) excellent blade in every way!
Soap: Razorock Lavender - one of my favorites with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24 mm (Sagrada Familia)- named after a great cathedral in Barcelona Spain.
Pre-shave: Shower + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea Men balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] excellent shave today & hit my targeted sweet spot.

Th. SS RR HAWK v3 has 3 base plates available for different efficiency levels from what I saw on Italian Barber. And one of them is an OC:love055: . I'm seriously considering moving a few razors along to get one.

Apparently the A plate is no where near as aggressive as the open comb. Why is yet to be determined but it is supposed to be the most aggressive of the plate offerings.

First shave with this razor angle was as steep as the razor would allow. This razor is a lot more aggressive than the supposedly most aggressive V3 offering which is the A plate. Shave result also backs that up with a BBS finish unlike with the A plate.

For today's GeMonday shave I was using a fresh Meijer branded Accu TEC SS blade. So I went with the Gem Featherweight Deluxe.
This Is an excellent razor for new blade break in. And an excellent razor all around. I love the look and feel of the handle. The one thing I don't care for on the flpi top ASR razors is the firce in which the spring clicks forward to seat the blade.
I started off with a hot shower and soak my Two band SHD Badger while I showered.
I then lathered up some Arko wich a good friend gave me a sample of last year. Applied the lather to my neck and worked it in a little.
Went to take first pass. And the lather on my neck was vanishing. I grabbed my brush and swirled it in the bowl to pick up some more lather and what had looked a minute ago like a full bowl of nice lather disintegrated completely.
So I grabbed the Tabac another good friend gifted me and whipped up a beautiful rich lather and went about a shaving with no more issues. Results were a very enjoyable close comfortable shave.

Smooth and Comfortable with an E2 ?, This Canadian version seem to be much less aggressive than my US, though it bite a bit if not careful.

Razor : Valet Auto-strop C1 Canadian variant-MFG 1920's- modified blade gap from .011 to .007 thousands of a inch. Very smooth compared to earlier larger blade gap.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE modified(5) excellent blade all the way around.
Soap: Italian barber Amici- very nice inexpensive soap that has good lather qualities.

Pre-shave: brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap+ a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm on shaved area.

    Tuesday’s Shave

    GEM 1912 Damaskeene
    GEM Stainless PTFE

Today’s shave didn’t go quite as planned. This was my first shave with this new (to me) razor. It arrived yesterday and I got it all cleaned up. Today, after the first stroke, it got really mild. Looking at the razor, the blade had slid further back. Unfortunately after inspection, I saw the small metal piece that holds the spine of the blade is missing (the part in the square cutout in the back of the razor cap you see when opened). I didn’t notice this when I bought it. Oh well, it’s still a nice looking piece but I’ll have to search for another one to have a Dammy shave. I finished the shave with my Ever Ready 1912 instead, which is always a great performer.

This shave was at a shallow angle unlike the first shave with this razor. Still a very aggressive feel but the finish was not as close as using a much steeper angle.

I have been on a bender swapping razors with @BBS and loving it

Anyhow this is my second go with this little guy. First shave was a good shave. Nothing extraordinary. Today’s shave was a lot better. I think the blade smoothed out some. This razor by no means can be construed as an aggressive razor. It is however a very safe feeling and efficient razor.

For cool factor this alone is worth having. If you are looking for a nice razor to have an event free shave it is an added bonus.

That may be fixable. A few guys have come up with fixes for similar issues on lather catchers. If you post a few close up pictures of the razor we can compare to complete examples to be sure nothing else is missing/broken. Then it would be a matter of fabricating a piece or using one from a more common but similar razor.

Ok. I took some advice of some friends on another forum and gave the Arko another chance today. Cold water used sparingly and I loaded it like I hate it. BIG difference. I think I had enough nice slick lather to do 8 to 10 passes. Also the lather didn't degrade or dry out even while taking my time with the shave. The scent is milder than when I first received the sample but still quite strong. So all in all I may end up an arko convert after all. I may just have to let it age for a while to lessen the intensity or the, Ahem, aroma....
Oh yeah the razor was my Gem Pushbutton with a second use Meijer SS Accu Tech blade.

The results A very aromatic, very close, very comfortable, and very enjoyable shave.
