    MicroMaticMonday,July 20th 2020, commemorate 2yrs of ASR shaving as a group of A.S.R keener's.
Always wondered what it would be like to have a Micromatic adjustable so I had to improvise my version today with
    - Mid range + by different variants of the Micromatics to see & feel how it would go. A little bit of extra work but it was worth the effort to receive a BBs shave. Gem Mfg was working on adjustable's in some proto types but nothing ever came of it.
I think the modern version of a Gem adjustable would be more like the Blackland Sabre with different base plates and open comb base plate version for the traditional concept. Just a different shave to shake up a MMMonday for my self.
    Razor: MMFW, bullet tip,Guiding eye....Mfg 1947-50
    Razor: MMCP,(Peerless Variant)-Mfg 1945
    Razor: MMOC -1932-41
    Razor: -BMMOC(bumpless variant)-Mfg 1930-32
Blade:Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) great blade in all respects.
    Soap: Proraso green
Brush: Omega Boar brush- nice brush when broken in.
Pre-shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep:Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups. MMFW (WTG)+MMCP(XTG)+MMOC(ATG)+ -BMMOC(pick ups)
Postshave: Proraso Green aftershave lotion with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] excellent shave with my Micromatics this MMMonday.

So I scored a minty Golden 500 last week. It may have been used one time. I tried the original blades 3 days ago. A bit rough but no blood. Decent finish. Tonight I loaded a new Chick. A world of difference. Very smooth and mild feeling shave. Not a bunch of blade feel. Enough to keep optimal angle. I ended up with a DFS+ shave.

Beautiful razor Tom. I really enjoy the Golden 500 when it makes it into my rotation.

Tonight I went with my BMMOC and a 3 rd use Gem SS PTFE and had a very relaxing late in the day shave. The Wickham Irish Fern lathered well with a 2 band badger and the Clubman Pinaud Lilac Vegetal provided a fine finish.

I usually am not a great fan of later Schicks. They tend to be too mild for my liking. But this is pretty good.

I have a type G I believe but I'd like to get an E I've heard they are more efficient. I just don't know how to positively ID one to bid on one when I have some fun money.

Razor: Oneblade Core version 2 - Great daily driver IMO with a Gem blade.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE modified(7) Favorite blade........[IMG]
Soap: Razorock XXX- nice different freshness scent and has excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Omega Boar - I have used Omega boar brushes even when cart shaving and this brush has been totally abused from new because of trying to get rid of funk scent and has not let me down, they are built to last IMO. It's not my favorite but deserves recognition for build quality!
Pre shave: brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave [IMG]with witch Hazel.
Results: CCS,DFS,BsS + no weepers + no irritation = [IMG] Another excellent shave with my Oneblade Core.

Schick Type J '500' injector & Type I Hydromagic injector, Personna blade, shave 3
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Did another back and forth and with a different blade and same result if the blade sits the same they shave the same. I do have to change one thing in the dummies guide, the ones I have grouped with these that don't have a hydromagic lever are different similar amount of blade feel but that is it.
