This razor as can be seen in the below picture is the same razor head as the Clark King mk2 razor. It also shaves the same, super aggressive but glass like BBS finish with maybe a single layer of skin taken off in the process.

Killer. I was tempted to get those a few times when I saw them on the bay. I have 2 models of the clarks. Great razors.

Same here on having 2 Clark razors, the one I don't have is the improved which is mild in comparison. The improved would be the mk3 version of those style of razor heads.

I have The Winner and Improved King.

I'd have to see what the winner looks like to know which mk it is. That I am pretty sure is a set name. The razors themselves were just called King when nickel plated or Silver King when silver plated.

That is a new one to me. If it says King on the razor it is King razor if not then it is some other Clark branded razor. They did make other style razors include a DE with a proprietary blade that wouldn't work on Gillette razors but the Gillette blades could work in it's razor.

Sounds like it was a razor made for their blades that were made to be replacements to the W M Enders razors. Clark made at least 4 style blades they sold, their DE blade with the slot in the middle so it would fit on Gillette razors but Gillette blades wouldn't work on theirs, a despined single edge the size of a modern Feather SE blades, a spined blade that is the same size as the Gem blades and the Enders style blades.

I should correct that, the Clark DE blade was designed to fit on Gillette blades since it was a single milled slot in the center of the blade but a Gillette blade wouldn't fit on a Clark DE razor.

Rolled with the Featherweight today. Ever-Ready banded boar of appropriate vintage and a variety of witch hazel.

Early shave late posting. Gem 1912 with cast handle. This razor seems to be a bit more aggressive than my Gem Jr. The shave was great with only slight irritation on the really stubborn spots each side of my Adams apple.

I have used a few 1912s of different eras, but this one from the 1950s is my favourite, as it seems to work well with the current Gem blade. A shave like that of today is very smooth and quiet, and the fresh blade was very effective and delivered without any problems an excellent close finish.

    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    Tabac ASB

Day 1 of SEptember. I plan to use a different SE razor each day of SEptember.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #313 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Damaskeene OC razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
