It’s been a very long time since I shaved with this lovely 1924. It is definitely one of my favorite razors. Nothing but a top notch shave :happy036:

    Romera Wengue Chubby Manchurian Badger

Can the Schick injector adjustable be taken apart to clean it out? I don't see any way to take it apart.

There are a few early versions where the spring was designed to swing to the left which allowed the heads to be opened and cleaned. However, most have a lug preventing movement of the spring. These CANNOT be opened. If you force them open they will never be the same. :angry017:

The Hydromagic and Lady Eversharp models also allows the heads to open and use a lever for this purpose. And, of course, the early D type opened with a scissors movement of the top and bottom layers of the handle.

This is a handy reference source about Schicks that includes this information: http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm :happy088:

Was busy yesterday and missed my usual Daily Shave, beginning to understand why other retirees miss a Shave as the Shave was quite good. If I had been going out other than to the shops early, I would have shaved.

Gem Contour II mk2, gem stainless ptfe blade, shave 5
    CIImk2.jpg

Results are in the Mk1 and Mk2 Contour II razors are identical far as I can tell shave wise. Finish still falls short but close to a BBS finish. There shouldn't be any difference with the mk3 but I will be using that one next for completeness sake.

Here are the 3 styles of Contour II razors
    mk1 on the left
    mk2 in the middle
    mk3 on the right

This Razor has for me only one drawback , and that is getting it to Shave around the Nostrils. Really enjoyed today as the Razor just feels right in the hand during a Shave, and the weight does not seem to matter.
