Thank you, sir. This one was all natural light. I left the lights off on the light box and opened the blinds in the room to let the sun in.

Schick Easy Rider injector, vintage Schick Twin blade, shave 9
    l6a.jpg l6b.jpg

Injector razor I've had for awhile now but never got around to trying out. Razor is also referred to as an L6 and the Easy Rider name is for guard as seen in the picture because the teeth are supposed to protect you from cutting yourself hence easy riding on the face. It is not named or was a promotional for the movie Easy Rider. See youtube video commercial for the razor at bottom for more marketing info.

Razor is mild but it performed well beyond my expectations considering it was never designed for a twin blade. First off I used some serious pressure with no cuts or irritation from the shave and with all that said this razor flat outperformed the various Type L razors made from 73 onward that were designed for twin blades. It is in the same league as the Type N injectors with a twin blade. It is not a better shaver but would be a satisfactory runner up if it was all you had to use with twin blades. It is good enough it made it into my NFS (Not For Sale) pile of razors based on this shave.

    End result BBS finish achieved.

I had a quick but wonderful 1 pass cleanup with the Gem Junior Bar. This is a truly superb razor. I also broke open a new tub of Mer Shavings Orange Fougere donkey's milk soap. This soap has an intoxicating aroma. I will have to use this sparingly enough to make it last a long time. I believe he isn't going to make this one anymore.
Luckily he makes plenty of other wonderful soaps.

It is quite amazing that this rather inexpensive Razor performs so well. Fitted with a S/S Handle it exhibits a nice degree of blade feel and is aggressive enough to warn you to take care with your Shave.Provided that one does take care with no rush. one is rewarded with a rather nice close all round finish

    Tabac Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #340 Badger
    Triceratops
    Personna Supply Injector

    Tabac ASB

I discovered that the Triceratops will take an injector blade. This is my first shave with the injector blade. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Triceratops with a Personna Supply Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The injector blade worked great with the Triceratops.

Schick Easy Rider injector, (S)chick blade
    [IMG]

Used a single edge injector blade today after yesterday's shave with a twin blade in this razor. I used some crazy pressure though since this is a very mild razor. It does work well as long as you get the correct angle. End result is about the same as the twin blade but not nearly as smooth or irritation free because of the amount of pressure used. If I used a light hand the closeness may not have been same. Either for something this mild it punches well above it's weight class if you find and keep the correct angle which is cap almost flat to the face and razor singing while cutting. BBS finish achieved and have to say this is one of those dark horse razors that just comes out of nowhere and up ends one's notion about mild razors that is unless you know how to use a Gem Featherweight correctly. ;)
