The Proraso Red Shaving Soap was applied with the Jayaruh 30RS silver tip brush. One pass and touch ups with the King Cobra with a Feather AC Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I have just completed a 10 shave sequence on The Hiram, with 9 outings on the current blade. Actually feels as if I could manage more., but I will change the Razor. Next time out with the Hiram I may go for a 3dot plate with the Proline blade.

This was my first time shaving with a SE so I struggled a little to get the angle right. The razor seemed quite mild and I struggled to know if I was actually removing anything other than lather but it produced a nearly BBS smooth shave after three passes. In the process I definitely overworked my skin and had a couple small weepers and some razor bumps that produced a fair amount of burn from the alum block and Whiskey Woods AS but in the end the weepers disappeared after using the alum block and the combination of the balm and AS felt great on my skin. I am pretty sure the Razor bumps have already faded.

 

Prototype injector V1.5, Personna blade, shave 1


Prototype injector based upon the Razorock Hawk V3 open comb razor designed to use injector blades. Machine work done by @twhite
The V2 is modified to be more aggressive while the V1 matches the shave geometry of the V3 Hawk open comb.

The V1.5 is the 1.0 modified for more blade gap than the V1 but less than the V2. If the V2 was brutal this one is a step down and is only vicious. Same close shave but without the need for a potential skin graft afterwards and only maybe half a pint of blood loss as opposed to a full pint using the V2. With that said the finish is a glass like BBS but without the skin being all burnt and super tight like with the V2.
