As far as single edge goes - I really have to admit this simple BIC is becoming a favorite I’ve been using one once or twice a month when I truly want an easy shave in the morning but also closer then I usually get out of a one pass with touch up. Wow! The more I get to know it the better shaves I get. Aces

Thank you Gary. :) It has survived quite well for almost a century so I rarely use it. Possibly a one of a kind so always handled with "kid gloves".

    Lea After Shave balm.

Have not used this brush for years, initially found the brush tips a bit scratchy until lather thickened. As my skin still very dry I did an intensive Shave Prewash with Heno de Pravia glycerine soap, which improved the skin feel. Not a bad Shave at all and in attempt to alleviate the dry skin , I used a Balm rather than an After Shave.

    Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar
    Schick Repeating Razor
    Personna Injector
    CWR
    Osage Rub

This week, I am using various Schick razors. First up is my Schick Repeating Razor (C1).

The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap was lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with my Schick Repeating Razor with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I went after a solid weeks growth this morning with the Open Comb Damaskeene and ended up with a SAS+ shave after just 1 pass with light touch ups.

This time around I mixed some ultrasound gel with a soft tub soap, in this case some Tokyo Rose which is a kokum butter soap made by PAA. Talk about slick this was by even slicker than any of the creams I've mixed this with. Best shave yet with this razor and blade with an almost glass like BBS finish achieved.
