Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick Shave, Mar14th 2021

Razor: Schick i2 type with the hydro magic- MFG 1974-57, excellent razor, <midrange, easy to clean & easy to roam my face with the short handle. One of their better models IMO.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE (7) Excellent blade, very sharp, smooths out nicely after a few shaves, excellent longevity for a razor that gets used seldom because of large razor rotation. The razor blade stays in the razor for weeks and does not deteriorate it seems.
Soap: Proraso red sandal wood- mild scent with great lather qualities, good post shave feel.
Brush: Yaqi red Zebra handle 26 mm excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Shower and hand washed my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso red with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick i2 injector with a Personna blade.

Have not Shaved with a Gem Blade since late November 2020, as I decided not to do rapid rotations. I was mindful of the fact that these oldies are not as forgiving as modern AC/SE so did not rush and shaved with care. A version of this ER is the one that I used when I started to use Vintage SE Razors , so was very pleased that my care was rewarded with an extremely pleasing close all round finish.

I decided to do a week of lather catchers. Yesterday, I used my Ever-Ready, but my shave weeks start on Monday. So, I will be using lather catchers through Sunday. That's eight days of catchers.

The Ingram Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #419 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I had a very pleasant shave with the Ever-Ready Streamline on loan from @twhite. This was my third shave with it and I think I dialed in the shave angle. The Novelist is a mild but very pleasant soap and splash. It was a gift from a member on several forms I'm on for making some enders adapters for him.

Razor: Gem Push button- MFG 1958-65, excellent <mid range, very attractive razor with black and gold, easy carefree shaver IMO.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (7) excellent blade, very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Proraso red, nice sandal wood scent, great protection, good post shave feel.
Brush: Yaqi lucky dice 26mm, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrub + great for large hands + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso Red with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Gem Push button with a Gem coated blade.

Had to top up the Vitos Red for todays Shave. Lovely smooth Shave and OH SO close, the A/S stings - had almost forgotten how close this Razor can get. Next time out maybe a rub over with an Alum Block will be in order. Perhaps squeeze one more application from the A/S, used for years alongside the Vitos as they are favourites of mine.
