SE SOTD, Tue, Mar30th 2021

Razor: Valet Auto-strop C1 Canadian variant-Mfg 1920's, I modified the blade gap from .011 to .007 and this razor became a pleasure to use, excellent razor, easy to manipulate on the face, great with a modified Gem Personna SS PTFE to shave whiskers very close. It's like going back in time when this was one of the best safety razors available + leading stropping technology.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock Lavender, nice scent, excellent lather qualities, great post shave feel.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Tuxedo knot with black marble handle, Excellent lather Generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrub & lather painter.
Pre Shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe Hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm on beard area.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Valet Auto-stop C1+ a modified gem blade.

Is that razor available to print yet?

 

Not yet. I need to get feedback from a few people that are testing them. If it all checks out it will be though.

 

Okay thanks.. I was curious and went to look to print one and couldn't find it... I shall wait until it is then and then I shall print one out on my printer....

Really did not rush with todays Shave and found myself considering the results of each stroke before it was made. I found that it helped to get to know the Razor better, and not only did it help the Shave go well but it lessened the chance of mishap.

Ever Ready 1924 Patent Anniversary

This travel set was the 1st 1924 I acquired back in 2015; after being sent down the SE rabbit hole. The short handle doesn't really bother me plus the audio feedback is second to none.

Beautiful photo. The colors of the brush and soap label match impeccably and the brass on the razor and brush tie it all together perfectly.

I just have to include this with my current Vintage/SE rotation as it is now the only modern gem powered Razor that I have.Always a surprise at how well this lightweight Shaves, makes for a very pleasant experience with a great close finish.

 

Thank you. When I gave Leo the specs and colors to make this brush, I had no idea how many products it would actually complement/match. The Krakoa brush is meant to represent a story arc in a comic I enjoy. I'll spare you the minutiae, but if you're interested, here's an album with denotations of what each part of the brush is meant to reflect.
