The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher with a Heljestrand Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Hacked Single-Guard Barbasol NFH/Proline B20.

The NFH Barbasol is a fairly mild shaver and the first shaves with a half DE blade (flush against the stops) in this razor were ok but not really worth the trouble.

In contrast the Proline B20 eyeballed to provide decent exposure gives a great shave. Not quite as cool as the Enders which is a more natural fit but still a thing I'll happily repeat.

Officially finished my Vetyver MDC, roughly 8 months of daily shaves.

Sunday Schick shave, May 23rd 2021

Razor: Schick adjustable injector Model 3- Mfg 1970-72, excellent adjustable, well built, some heft compared to later models.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE injector(8) Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out with use, light touch wins with this blade.
Soap: Razorock Irish Country side- nice mild scent, excellent lather qualities> great protection + post shave feel IMO.
Brush: Yaqi Aqua H.M Silvertip badger 24mm- Excellent lather generator, soft tips, great scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso green with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable M3 + a Personna coated injected blade.

My last shave was was very close thanks to the RazoRock Hawk V3 OC. I just wish I had a longer Barber pole handle for it.

I used this Yaqi as a Travel Razor at the weekend, very pleased that though the Bathroom was not the best for Shaving the finish was very good .
I had a pleasant Shave today as despite Two days growth, the copious lather from the soap made the Shave very smooth and comfortable.This Razor Is proving to be an excellent Daily Shaver, as it is nice in the hand and delivers consistently trouble free quality Shaves.

Razor: Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf(Peerless version), excellent midrange, smooth glide, great results.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Gillette Pure cream, nice clean scent + great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm HM Silvertip badger, excellent lather generator , soft tips, good scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem MMCP with a coated gem blade.

SE SOTD, Tue, May25th 2021

Razor: Gem Damaskeene OC- Mfg 1912-15 for the O.C, excellent razor, soft mid range, this razor really started the Gem razor Mfg in the right direction, after decades of only a few improvements they sold millions of different variants. Very enjoyable shave.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Tabac- nice mild clean scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi High mountain silvertip badger 24 mm, makes some of the best lather, not a lather hog, soft tips with a just a gleamier of prickliness that changes from more use, great scrub + great lather painter. Very impressed with this badger brush + no funk.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm,
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 chin weeper= Excellent shave with my Gem Damaskeene 1912-15 the real McCoy with a coated Gem blade.
