Though I am not on Social media, I have found out that Matt @120inna55 has passed away.So sad that someone who has delighted us all with Photographs and observations has passed away at such a young age. I am sure that some of you may be in contact with his family, and would hope that they have added condolences on behalf of all Forum members wherever they reside.

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Custom Wood Handle Enders Speed Shaver with an Enders Speed Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    The Grosvenor - 404 mixed
    Blues Shaving soap
    ES Claymore V1-Bulldog handle
    Kai CT Protouch MG [ 11 ]
    Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion.

I have had Eleven Shaves with this Razor/Blade combo with a variety of inexpensive soaps, that I know provide a decent lather. Though I had to keep replenishing the Blues soap , it still helped me get another most comfortable Shave with a rather good all round finish. I am not sure how the blade would fare if rushed, but it works well if slow deliberate strokes are used.

    Tabac soap
ES Claymore V1- Ikon Bull Dog handle
    Kai CT Protouch MG [ 12 ]
    Tabac A/S Lotion

Despite tackling Two Days growth and Twelve outings on the Clock this Razor /Blade combo had no problems delivering an extremely close all round finish. I am totally won over by this guarded blade which has transformed the performance of the Claymore. I only wish I had the opportunity to try it out in some Razors I have passed on , such as a King Cobra and Mongoose.

Razor: Yaqi Excalibur SE, excellent tame mid range, light weight and very easy to manipulate for a large wide 50mm blade IMO. Good daily driver for some folks.
Blade: Chinese blue 50 mm, sharp and smooth, longevity ??. received these with a Shavette ordered months back.
Soap: Razorock XXX, nice clean scent when it dry's down + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi lucky dice 26mm tuxedo knot synthetic, excellent lather generator with cloud like soft tips, great scrub + excellent lather painter. This handle would be ideal for large hands & has good ergonomics IMO.
Pre Shave : Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur SE + a Chinese blue blade.

Thanks to a friend I get to try out this rather hard to find Weck surgical prep razor for a week. Quite a nice shave.

Am continuing to trial the Kai guarded blade but this time in the Yaqi Raster. A nice close Shave, but I think that the Shave with one in my Claymore is just that bit smoother.

Sunday Schick Shave, June 13th 2021

Razor: Schick injector J1 type, Mfg 1957-64, tame mid range, long handle, enjoyable razor, more a carefree shave this morning.
Blade: Personna injector SS PTFE (4) excellent blade, sharp & smooth with excellent longevity, smooths out nicely.
Soap: Proraso green , mentholated eucalyptus croap mid range scent with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm tuxedo knot with black marble handle [IMG] - excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter. This synthetic brush is a perfect for lathering in luxury and must have the perfect loft height because my other 2 tuxedo knots do not feel exactly the same great feel!
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso green lotion with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]excellent shave with my Schick J1 injector + a Personna coated blade.
