As requested by Boss-man @Bird Lives here are a couple of recent acquisitions of Schick N's that are maybe less common that a lot of other models:

    The N3 and N1

I'll have to keep working with the Personnas Bird because so far my experience has been the opposite. I went back to my DE personna lab blue blade this morning and found it shaved more comfortably. I am using the Pal adjustable right now, but still. Hope I'm wrong about the Personnas. I'm very fond of the brand. Ymmv I guess or just lack of experience:signs002: Still have a great time trying different things out though.

Beautiful pic Karl and so cool to hear about your experience with the Eddison! I have seen them on the bay a few times and always wondered about them. Another interesting Personna innovation!

Personna injector blades are fine...As you say...These things are all personal of course...That said the PAL injector/Chinese Schick Combo is a match made in Heaven in my humble opinion...You wont regret that Sir...:p

Thanks Billy! What are some injectors that the Personnas work well in?

Well...I only use Personna Blades in my G Types & or more mild injectors for a change of pace...I personally find that Personna blades can be harsh in more aggressive injectors...I would go as far as suggesting that they can make some more aggressive injectors almost unusable...The Chinese blades are somewhat sharper & can tame more aggressive injectors down...I also find that the Chinese blades can make milder injector's too mild...In short..I find the Personnna blades to be fine in mild injector's & I find the Chinese blades work well with more aggressive injectors...But Hey...that's just me talkin...;)

There you go.....YMMV in action...for me the Personna rebrands are a might harsh in my G8...But I can make them work in my E2....ha,ha....But then They work in both if I don't mind a little blood in the sink...
I do like the Personnas in my milder injectors aswell...Especially my Hydro-magics,,,The I's and J's...
You are exactly spot on Aaron....There are few things where the YMMV factor is more evident than with Blades and Fragrances....}8^))
I do love the Chinese Schicks and the Dutch Schick blades are in a class by themselves...But I prefer the new Personnas to most DE blades, but not my all time favorite DE blades...I like the Perma-Sharp Super DE blade better...And the GEM Stainless SE blade is pretty incredible in my ER 1914...

It's like trumpet mouthpieces....You have to find the the combination of what works for you....I can play the same horn and mouthpiece that one of my favorite players uses and I might hardly be able to get a sound but another piece and horn and I might get the same sound or another combination I might get a better sound....A bad comparison but not totally off would be shoe sizes...I might want to wear John Wayne's boots but if we wear different sizes, it just isn't gonna work....ha,ha...Doesn't make him right or me wrong...

One cool thing is though...Unlike Boot sizes and trumpet mouthpieces...These things change...I've had a razor I hated and later loved...and a razor/blade combo that I thought was the Cats meow and came back to it months later and wondered how I ever could have liked it...So don't toss anything too early...File them and come back to them later with an open mind....You never know......

Well said Bird and thanks for the reminder not to discount things to quickly! I have had similar experiences with other blades, razors, etc. I've had very few razors stump me like the Pal Adjustable and the Personna injector combo. Maybe I'll give the Personna blades a go in another razor. So far, for me, the Eversharp Schick G has been my legendary status injector. With a Schick blade it is just about fool-proof! Mild, smooth, and almost automatic BBS every time:D What a great razor/blade combo! Btw, I used to play trumpet in high school and seeing the size of some of the mouthpieces the greats used always amazed me. Love me some Louis Armstrong:)

A more mild G type was the first injector I ever purchased and the only one that I have gotten a decent shave with a Personna in. I would still say the Schick was a smoother/sharper blade for me in that razor, but that is just me. Do you know if there is any difference between the Ted Pella blades and the mini hair shapers I have been using? It seems the Pellas are spoken more highly of than other sources of Personna injector blades, but it may just be another ymmv case.

I have never used the Hair shaper blades...I do know, however, that the Personna/Pella blades are the one & the same blade....They are both made by Personna & rebranded..:p

For those with ultrasonic cleaners - how well do you think they work on gold? I'm wondering about the best way to shine up my C3 and my D. :signs002:

I tried taking some Simichrome to my D last night. Lots of mixed reactions on the web re: use of Simichrome on gold. I figured I could just take it down to the brass if it was a problem. A ton more tarnish came off but I still can't tell if there is plating on it or just mostly brass. Since I can't easily tell I've decided it doesn't matter. When I'm ready to change blades I'll give a proper polish with the handle and head opened up. I would post a new pic but the photos I took still don't translate as well as in person - but it is definitely a step up from where it was.

Of course, having cleaned it up a bit more I had to use it again today. So easy to use but I suspect it would pair better with a different blade. I'm using a NOS Schick Plus Plat but it just doesn't feel quite right. So, darn it, I have to shave some more with it to wear that blade out for a new one. I have some NOS Schick Chromiums coming in next week that I can try or maybe even a current Schick.
