Not the initial shave as it is listed as #4. That statement is used as a final buffer presuming face is still wet. Previous lotion residue will provide enough slickness considering the final stroke would be removing the shortest remaining hair length.
Anyway, I think this was made for bygone Canadian lumberjacks who face was hardened by extreme cold wind, snow and constant wood chip shrapnel. See link for current substitutions.

Affirmative. They be cheaper and last longer too.

 

Very interesting. I am using Feathers in my AutoStrop razors, and it seems to me that they degrade faster than GEMs. The OneBlade looks like a very nice razor. It is way out of my price range. I guess they figure if you can afford to buy the razor, you should be able to afford a buck a shave to use it. Flawless reasoning.

Thats my man Octavius Rodrigues, I read one of his patent letters, and he said he went to very much trouble with the guard bar for the C type repeater and the E-type, for those very reasons...he probably wrote those shaving instructions.....What a guy!....}8^)).......and his guard bar patent is used for the d,e,f,g,and h types...

 

Well Jim, it's still fantastic to see them in action. There's not many auto strop users on this site.

 

I have seen this one..It aint half expensive tho...Never seen a set like that before either...Lovely..

@Karl G Inspired me to get my Schick Adjustable out today for a Twin blade Shave..I love this Hans Baier Silver Tip I got recently from Germany..Its not a well known name outside of Germany but hey its a Top Shelf brush for a fraction of the price of these well known designer jobs..I am going to bump my gums about these high performing tallow soaps again..Another high performing soap that is hardly heard of that doesn't cost an arm & a leg...I don't think there is anything that offers the post shave feeling of tallow soaps...Awesome shave this morning with this twin blade set up..Dolphin smooth & refreshed...Good Karma..

Yeah, @Billyfergie beat me to it but I had a lovely encounter with my Schick Adjustable paired with a Twin blade just now. Just the thing after reading about the charms of the Twins so often lately. They are just so kind to my face in addition to being serious whisker whackers. The only downside to the shave was it followed the PAL Adjustable a couple of days earlier. Tough competition to live up to. It's a first world problem for sure.

Had it been 30-40 dollars it would had been mine...but 100 bucks is a bit on the expensive side [for me].
Yeah, first I've ever seen - AND in box.

 

I have changed this post after what I heard from Billy below....I originally wanted to trade for the old brass injector blade dispensers so I could get the magazine out of it to save for my Schick repeater if I ever needed it....But now I just want to trade for the Schick Repeater Magazines...

I present this for your consideration....I would be willing to trade some of these lovelies for 1 or 2 (preferably 2) Schick Repeater Magazines...My Schick C3 has a perfectly good one, but I want to have an extra or two for the future....If she becomes my "Desert Island" razor, I would want a couple back-up magazines just in case....}8^)). Also I am always up for a Schick E type trade...
