    Razor: Schick Injector G Type
    Blade: Chinese Schick Injector (1)
    Brush: Stirling Kong
    Soap: Tabac
Post: Cold water rinse, Witch Hazel, Fine Platinum

Second shave with the G type was much better than the first. I started the shave by reminding myself not to use any pressure. As a matter of fact I wrote a note and stuck it on the mirror directly in front of me so I wouldn't use pressure and would be reminded of that all shave!

I took the advice of @Bama Samurai @Rufus T. and @Billyfergie with regard to finding angle. Started with the head against my face and dropped the handle ever so slightly until it was slicing away. The first pass WTG/XTG went very well and had very good reduction with no irritation.

Second pass ATG also went really well. No irritation. A very nice pass. Had to do a fair amount of touch up on the chin and around the Adam's apple. Ended with near BBS and no irritation. No pressure is going to be my key as I fought the temptation the entire shave.

I have the AlumiGoose V1 head only since the matching handle was sold out by the time I placed my order. I am really enjoying using the razor. As I understand the AlumiGoose II will be available from online retailers which will be nice.

Current Personna Blade Shave with Toms V2 Injector..:p
    [IMG]
    Two Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Toms V 2 Adjustable Injector
    Current Personna Injector Blade New
    LEONHARDY Pure Badger
    Biotiqe Palma Shaving Cream
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel

I had another shave today with Toms V 2 Injector..I loaded the V 2 Injector with a Current Personna Blade..The Personna Magazine worked perfectly..I decided to weigh up the Personna blade against the Chinese Schick Injector blade which I will refer to as the Chick blade..I utilized the NOTSO Middle Setting Comb for my first WTG Pass...I was very surprized at how smooth Toms V2 Injector performed with the Personna blade on the Middle Setting...I find that the Personna blade can be a tad brutal in some more so called aggressive Injectors..That certainly wasn't the case here..I didn't find the Personna blade to be as sharp as the Chick blade but I sure as Hell got a Darn Smooth WTG Pass..The Personna blade Performed ever so well with the NOTSO Comb..That said..I find that Toms V2 Injector is a Tad more Intuitive to use with the Chick blade & I would recommend the Chick blade to the folks on the Pass Around for that Reason.. :happy088:

I utilized the WILD Comb Highest Setting for my Second ATG Pass..This was where the Personna blade came 2nd to the Chick blade in my opinion..I found that the Chick blades was far more Forgiving on the Highest Setting which didn't surprize me one bit..I reckon Toms V2 is up there with a Cranked up Pal Adjustable on the Highest Setting...I never use the PAL Adjustable on the Highest Setting..I have never felt the need..These things are Personal all of course & that is the real benefit of an Adjustable Injector...Horses for Courses & all that..The V2 Injector is well usable on the Highest Setting & is Very Efficient Indeed..There are very few razors that will offer You a Just about perfect All Over BBS Result with Two Passes & No need for a Touch Up..Believe me on that One..An all Over BBS gets thrown around far too easy...Well I got One Today with Two passes & even went a tad close too close for comfort..This razor shaves as close as the Notorious PAL Injectomatcs & PAL Adjustable..No bones about that one..:p

Just like the PAL Adjustable the Highest Setting will not be for everyone that's for sure & that's fine..I Personally find that the NOTSO Comb Fits me well with both Single & Twin Blades buts that's just me Talkin..I have been talkin to Tom about this one..I have tried to be Objective as I can with the performance of the V2 Injector..It will be Chrystal Clear in my write ups that I happen to be Taken by it to say the least..Any potential Hype that may a jump out of my reviews of Toms Injector emanates from the fact that I am totally in Love with this Injector & thus not intentional..There is No One Size fits All Razor on the Planet & some folks will get on with the V2 Injector just like any other Razor or Product & some folks wont..:angelic007:

But Hey that's the Wonderful thing about Individuality and Tom has offered another razor that may fit You & Your Arsenal of Shaving Gear or Not..There is an Old Scottish Saying...We are all Jock Tamsons Bairns but it doesn't mean that we are all the same just because we Bleed..We are all different..:)

While I'd really like to have my mitts on the V2 Bunny (maybe someday), inspired by the comparisons in your reviews, I just ordered a Pal adjustable from the Bay. I like aggressive razors.

It's incredible how many Schick E types I see advertised as E1 types and are not even E2. Be it on the bayz or other sites.

image.jpeg I had a fantastic twin blade shave this morning with my type N. Some might say this is a mild razor but it shaves very well with a single blade and with the twin .... Amazing!

Check out this spring in Red's picture above......
    Also here:
    image.jpg And here: image.jpg
Notice how the spring is curved....like a loop or circle under the head.....This means E2 or after through all the G's
Some open and most don't but they all have that circle...

Now the E1 does not! It has a flat spring.....So if it looks like an E or G and has a flat spring it is an E1....
The flat spring does not look like a circle or 'O'....it looks like this:

That's spot on..The Type E 1 was only made for a few months before they introduced the Type E 2 so they are hard to get your hands on..I have never seen one up for grabs..A lot of sellers Mis-advertise a lot of Types E s wrongly as Type E 1s..I am always suspicious of that one cause they can Bump the price up to the unwitting Buyer..:)

February Focus on my Schick Type D - The first Schick Injector Razor circa 1935

    Shave 3
    Hot Shower
    Razor: Schick Type D
    Blade: Schick (China) (3)
Soap: Figaro Cream (Hungary) compliments of @PLANofMAN at Seattle Shave Convention Sept.'15
Brush: Rubberset Vintage Travel Brush - Synthetic knot by @clint64
    Witch Hazel

    02-05-16.JPG

Back home and back to the Focus using the Schick Type D after road shaves with my travel kit and Schick C1 razor.

Third shave with the D - Angle is so natural, razor so light, hard not to zip around my face with this speedster. But I will learn to stay at the speed limit as I missed a few spots otherwise.

Decided to test some different shave cream for travel variety. Arko and La Toja are fine, but I’ve accumulated some really nice soaps so why not find a way to bring them on the road? So I’ll be testing a few with my synthetic travel brush. The synthetic knot isn’t great in its water-holding capacity, so I choose to work at home to improve technique with it.

    2-day growth, 2-pass shave (XTG,ATG)
A couple of smears on my face with the Figaro and a damp brush to start. Added more water as I went along. Relathered for second pass. Lather/water technique needs more work. But I like the subtle scent and skin feel of the Figaro.

    Cheers!

    todays shave
I changed things up today after using my Bunny for a month straight.

I got a couple of new goodies. I got my first puck of MWF. I also received a beautiful ER Shovel Head from @Karl G. Thank you Karl!

    The Album
describes tonights shave by the way.

    Razor: ER 1924 Shovel Head
    Blade: GEM shimmed
    Soap: MW
    Brush: WD on my handle
    AS: VIBR

I received the soap today. As soon as I got home I loaded it into a tin. I then filled it with water and let it sit for 2 hours to let it hydrate bit.

I did my regular prep. Hot shower and wash my face with Dove soap. Left brush soaking while showering.

Started loading my brush for a good 30 seconds. Lather was really stating to build up nicely. I proceeded to face lather and took notice of the nice light fragrance of the soap. I really like the smell. Anyhow lathered my face for about a minute. It built a really nice slick lather. This is the slickest lather I have made to date. Took the razor and carefully found the angle. It is quite different from the Bunny. The razor is quieter than I expected.

First pass WTG mowed the whiskers down. Wet my hands to feel how slick my face was. I was very surprised as how slid it was. I proceeded to lather for pass 2. I had to add a dab of water to the brush after I started lathering again. The lather built up nicely again.

Second pass XTG went just as good. I still was expecting to have more feed back. who cares this is a very smooth shaver. Excellent reduction. I could have stopped here and been very satisfied with the shave. But things were going so good on to the third pass.

I did not load more soap for the third pass. It would have been helpful. Anyhow got a lather on the thin side but everything is very slick still.
My final pass ATG went great up until I finished up on my upper lip. Set the blade down a bit off and gave myself a little slice. I finished with a bit of touch up only neck. I finished with a DFS+

Love how the Shovel head shaves it is definitely a keeper.thanks again Karl

I really like the MWF. I think I will use it for a few weeks to rally get to know it.

    Tom
