    It happens.
On the plus side, I'm really excited about my OCMM and my ornate-handled Gem 1912.

Yeah Jaymo don't dispair....They turn up....for a razor only made for 3 or 4 years they turn up alot....They peobably sold a ton of them and for good reason....Keep talkin' it up around here and in the regular forums....There's alot of pifin' and trading going on....If everybody keeps an eye out for you, you sould be cool....In the meantime stock pile some injector blades...:)

And how bout some pics of the new treasures you did score....

I picked up some packs of injector blades for $2.50/20 blades back when CVS got rid of them. Wish I'd cleaned them out.
My wife picks up packs of them from Fred's from time to time. A couple of bucks for 20 Personna blades isn't bad.
I have an old pack of carbon steel Schick injector blades in the brass and blue steel pack that I got for fifty cents at a flea market. They still have the original oil on them and shave like a dream. They give an extremely close, comfortable shave.

I can't figure out how to post pics of them, but if you go to ebay dot com and search for item number 110792082556 you can look at the pics of both .
Yeah, I paid 25 bucks for the two of them, but they have the boxes and all that good stuff.
One of them comes with a couple of Gem Double Life blades. Wonder how good those blades are. I kind of hope the blades don't have any rust, and can be used
I may give the blades a try, may not. I have a couple hundred SE blades to use.

So, just HOW aggressive is the OCMM? I have the bullet tip, flying wing, guiding eye MM. Don't know how they compare.
Is the OCMM more aggressive than the open comb Valet Auto Strop with the cutouts that requires the cutout Valet/Feather blades?

Just when I thought I was done with all this RAD silliness.
Now I need to get a Magazine Repeating Razor. Those things just look cool.

Here's another Schick G1 that I picked up on eBay this week.

It cleaned up real nice, and I'll be giving it to my grandson!

The Double Life blades may work, but have a new one standing by. Those old carbon steel blades just don't seem to hold up real well over time. The OCMM is a lot different that the Flying Wing. A lot. I'd say it's even more aggressive than a Valet. There's just not many razors that I have used that are quite like the OCMM.

How does it compare to the 2011 Muhle R41?

Beautiful Nick...I'm sure he'll treasure it....A Grand-Dad passing on the Wet Shaving tradition and giving such a beautiful Schick....Man, those are the kind of defining moments we carry with us all our lives....:)

I shaved with my Schick G last night. Great for a quick two pas shave.

Alright I got the razor allcleaned up...to the best of my ability anyway. There ended up being a corrosion mark on the head in one spot and there is a bit of rust I can't get at at the back of the inside of the head. The prior owner let the blade sit and rust inthe razor for a while...sigh...as you can see it did clean up nicely. I also glued the cracks on the case lid closed...so it wont be falling apart anymore!

Twice. The first time was on Monday and it was the second (2 pass) shave of the day...it didn't feel too good. I also tried it today and it was great! I do prefer the longer handle that is on my L type. But this one worked great!

O.K. I finally got to this little one that needed a lot of cleaning. She still needs some cleaning in spots, but is presentable now.

Thats got "Holy Grail" written all over it.....Schick was so far ahead of his time with that one....Nobody's caught up with it yet....And not likely to in the next 85 years either.
    Congratulations, it looks perfect....
