I'm sorry to hear about Tom's issue with the Lady on EBay, that's a shame.


Anyways, this morning, out of the blue, I decided to give an SE another shot. So I pulled out the Clog Pruf and threw a Gem PTFE blade in. Lathered up some TSD soap and started out with some caution. The first pass went much better than previous experiences would have me believe. All three passes were generally pretty smooth. Only major issues I had were around the Jawline and chin where I had 2 small cuts. The shave was relatively close as well. Going to keep riding this GEM train until the Bunny gets to me.

Stop dealing with her go to eBay directly to initiate a refund claim. I've been in this position before where the seller didn't honor the deal and eBay made it right - including the return shipping as noted before. Save yourself the agony and work with them. It's all online and easy.

Pretty nice shave again with the GEM MMOC. A couple of weepers today though. I went a little too fast and with a little too much pressure in those areas, so I'm not surprised. It seems the MMOC will certainly let you know when bad technique is in place! It will certainly bite. But a nice shave all in all in one pass with minor touch-up on the neck and jaw line.

So let me get this right.......you are saying the PAL I-M or Personna Floating Head are just as good as the Hussy? Is that what I'm hearing? or is there a miss understanding???

I am going to shave with my H type tonight....and contemplate this current assessment before contacting your Hussy....I think she should be made aware of these sentiments if they are in fact, on the money.....hmmmm?

Oh, my Hussy is very content.

You missed the big shave off and her taking the title in a close fight. She is the undisputed Queen of the Den and the former King is just her manservant now. (I try not to say that too loud.) There are also whispers of a Bunny/Hussy cage match but the rumors are hard to pin down and the dates seem pretty far out.

 

Wow I did miss this......Don't know how that happened....Must have still be in post Tax Time trauma.....
What a Great fight....I mean 'Shave'...man...You must have an exceptional PAL to give your Hussy that close a shave.....But I think the referees were bias.....Your wife is the final word....I completely give her power to overturning the judge's decisions....even if I'm the judge.... ....and I have complete faith in my wife's imput.....I mean, she's the one with the most at stake....sure I like to faceterbate aswell as the next guy...But she's the one who's soft skin get's whisker burnt, she's the one who gets raked by those whiskers the following morning before we shave....
My wife is thrilled with the smooth face phenom at my house since I rediscovered TWS....And she takes judging shaves very seriously, as I'm sure your's does aswell....

So if your better half picked the Hussy side, I'm sure there was no contest.....

This has all got my BBS juices flowing.....I've been taking my Hussy forgranted lately.....I'm going upstairs right now and take her for a spin...."I'll be back!"

 

Well, as I was approaching the enterance to my shave-cave, anticipating my reunion with my 'H' type, the idea hit me...I had been running my mouth about how nothing in my shave world shaved better than my Schick Simplified Automatic C3....and @Karl G called me on it...He said he wouldn't want to see my shave-cave after my Hussy heard about that....

So I'm thinking....an impromtu bout between two of Victor Octavius Rodrigues' progeny....the C3 & H1.....my two travel-jectors...

No time to sell tickets...so a closed match, just Shave-Cave residents present...
I reach for my 'H'....she didn't seem excited...Strange.....she seemed more hungry.....I haven't used her in some time, so I think she was more hungry for whiskers and some quality time eating them than a match and having to share...
But, a match it will be....I racked a new EMS/Personna coated, not her favorite, but she's not too finicky...

Now I reached for the C3....I've been shaving with this blade for I don't know how long....over a week....Last shave I needed more than usual touch-up. So now my favorite part, and sure to get a couple "cool points" from the judges...I opened the blade drawer, take out the magazine, dropped a blade in it. Slipped it back in the blade drawer, snapped it in and racked the slide and..........OOOOHHHHH NOOOOOO!

Absolutely jammed! This C3 has a very good blade injecting system...But now when the chips are down a Deadly Jam...A Fatal Error....Disqualified !

I could have grabbed my screwdrivers and reading glasses and gone downstairs to my kitchen table with the bright lights and disassembled it...fixed it....reassembled and ran a few blades through to make sure everything was cool as I have before....But no.....I think, under the circumstances....If this had been an old West gun fight....the C3 would have been on it's way to "Boot Hill"

So now I'm thinking, I already had a shave off between the 'H' and my PAL, in which the 'H' took it after 2 passes and touch ups...the Pal side needed another touch up....There will be a re-match, but that will be scheduled....Tonight's was a grudge match instigated by Karl....So I think, the 'H' deserves to eat all the whiskers I have to offer....

And voracious she was too....2 passes and touch up left me "patting a dolphin" smooth....after the first pass, the moustace area sides, and my lower cheek, and jawbone, problem areas were already BBS. I couldn't believe it...All I really needed was a touch up then...But I did an ATG pass and some buffing on my neck....This H type is a buffing monster...

I had kind of lost my technique; at first; for holding her...I used maybe a bit more pressure than necessary...Afterwards the Clubman Special Reserve burned a touch...But not a hint of redness. And not a hint of missed whisker action either....

Long Live the Queen!



I don't know if Hussy is the right word for this one.....She is deadly with a blade....Kind of like Catherine Zeta Jones in Zorro.....only she's kicking Zorro's blade guard....Those that have been with her, love her....You know who you are....What do you guys think? Maybe "H" is for "Her Majesty".......although...she is surely a Queen, she sure has been with alot of cats....lol....Maybe Her Majesty is a Hussy.....

I took the comb off to clean the razor, but it was clean. Since I discovered the self-cleaning design of Tom's razor, I have used it every day without taking the comb off. Since I am changing razors tomorrow, I wanted to put it away clean. I was really pleased to see there was nothing to clean under the comb. Pretty cool, @twhite .
