OK, maybe it's not as bad as I thought first :) Now I only have to grab inexpensive Injector razor when I see one available.

They are almost always way inexpensive....Thats the thing...they are way underpriced...You don't have the selection in blades that you have with DE's...but on the other hand...The blades that I've used were all at least as good as the 'BEST' DE blades I've tried...:)

So did you call EMS ?

No I haven't. No point doing that until I buy myself an Injector.

Yeah....you need an Injector no matter what...I'm a big fan...I think Col. Schick was a genius...
I will never understand how they lost the razor wars....But not in my Shave Cave...they WON...:)

Holy cow! I just got a Schick Adjustable on another forum PIFed to me :happy093:
Of course it will take at least two weeks for it to arrive from US but now I can start searching for those Injector blades.

I'm part of this club now. My Schick Injector arrived when I was away at drill.

I just shaved for the first time with an Injector/repeater (a Schick Type C3). It was a different animal than the DE's and straights I've shaved with. More aggressive than a DE for sure. It shaved almost like a straight. Tomorrow I'll have a go with a beautiful Type B I lovingly restored.

Silly me, I ordered a blade magazine off of ebay and then a day later figured out that both razors still had magazines in them. empty of course. I had to buy blades at Bi-Mart, no one else in my area carries them.

Liked the Golden 500 so much I got a G1. After one use I think it's a damn fine shaver.

I recently (a few hours ago) won a GEM Micromatic...I have been having some serious urges to get back into the GEM scene. I have read MANY different things about this razor, from chewing your face, to a wonderful razor. It can't be any worse than my OC autostrop...but anyway, I'm really excited to try this bad boy out! Any thoughts? I am also on the lookout for a G-Bar...how do those shave? I really like the solid looking handles!

OC micromatic to me is an aggressive beast (it's too aggressive for my sensitive mug for daily use, but it is a great s/e). My preference in Gem's is the Clog Pruff. As for the G-Bar , to me it's a great shave, one of the more mild GEM's. My 18 year old son has been using a G-Bar for 2 years. He says it's one of the Best razors ever made. I tend to agree with him.

O.K. I normally don't name my razors, but this one is an exception.

To do the honor of naming my latest razor ... Dame Shirley Bassey!

I have become an SE enthusiast and can get a great DFS from most. Just a few of my favorites:

Gem G-Bar (or Heavy Flat Top)
    Rhodium Plated GEM OCMM
    [IMG]
    GEM Damaskeene
Note: Please ignore the weak lather, as I was only sitting up the picture for a quick picture. I would never shave with a lather that looked like that!!!

Please describe how did the Cobra Classic do?

The first shave with the Cobra Classic was the finest shave I had ever expeierenced. Sadly the next day I paired the razor with the KAI Titan Mild blade and it just tore me up.

I could not reproduce a good shave, mostly because I had such severe bumps on my neck I felt like I could not give it the proper workout.

I may purchase one in the future, almost pulled the trigger this week just due to the low price I was offered on one. The problem I have is that I like to use every razor that I own, and all it takes for me are a few bad shaves and I won't use it again.

Being that the market is so small for such a razor, unless I am offered another at a good price, I will not being buying one soon.
