Thanks Roby. I think I need to move the PAL up to the top of my list!

    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Bunny V3 Injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fred's New Spice, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Fat Friday! Nice shave with the Bunny V3 injector of @twhite. This was a better shave than I had with the Bunny V2 from a couple of weeks ago. The Wool Fat lather was splendid as usual - nice and slick, protective. The new Chick blade was sharp and smooth. The Bunny did very well as expected. Just a few angle struggles on my neck but overall a nice shave.

    Have a great day everyone!

@twhite 's post must have inspired me as I took out my F to shave with this morning. As soon as I began shaving it was clear that the modified Feather in it had reached the end of its useful life. Darn, that forced me to switch it out with one of those Dogs Danglies that I'd been wanting to try in the F. If that isn't a good way to start the day, I don't know what is. :bounce015:

Anyhow, right from the very first stroke the Dutch blades in the F were super smooth. Smooth to the point where you could be forgiven for thinking you were wiping an empty razor across your face. But, with that smoothness comes the temptation to use the razor like it really is empty. Not a good idea with these blades as they really are sharp. As Tom noted, allowing yourself to be lulled into a state of carelessness comes with some weepers or irritation. I was enjoying the shave so much I let that happen to me a few times. :shocked003:

The end result, though, was a close, close shave that deserves some face rubbing when no one is looking. :happy068:

What an incredible shave this morning. Thank you @Robyflexx for telling me about this razor, it's efficient, easy to maneuver and it just mows down my whiskers. It also has great audible feedback. I did two passes with minor touch up and I'm dolphin smooth. Considering I haven't shaved since the Cinco de Julio popsicle stick shave I had a lot of beard growth. This razor made quick work of it. My first pass equaled two with the Schick Type G. Second pass I was close enough to go ATG, I had a few areas to touch up but that was it. The Stirling performed great, excellent scent and protection. The alum was completely silent and I finished up with Osage Rub. Have a great day folks!

Well, I would have had less injuries from a straight razor today....

New blade, same brand as yesterday's blade, same razor head style just a longer handle than yesterday's razor. Looks like I got in a fight with a porcupine face first. Definitely NO alcohol in the AS today.

Something's definitly wrong there bud, this shouldn't be happening with an injector type. Either those blades are bad or your blade is fouling upon injection loading.

I'm hoping it's just a bad blade, since my 'I type' from yesterday was smooth as a good DE shave.

I'm a little gun shy now so I'll probably go back to the DE for a couple shaves to let my face clear up.

It's gotta be brother, that's just very uncharacteristic of an injector in proper working order. :)

:signs011: ...or worse yet, the blade has jumped the stops and is sitting on top of one or both of them. I've cut up my face twice the way you describe. In both cases the blade was not seated properly. Worth taking a look to see but, either way, it sounds like a new blade is in order. :happy088:

I watched as I installed the blade and don't believe it scraped the edge. I'll just install a new blade next time.

There appears to be jagged edges on the center lip right above your blade on that razor.

I could be wrong, maybe if one of our more knowledgeable folks like @Billyfergie would care to chime in.
