Late post today but it's Friday. TGIF :bounce017: What a great shave! Bombed the Tabac and put a fresh Dutch danglies blade in the Single Edge. This is one smooth blade, definitely a notch smoother than the Chick blade. Too bad they are so hard to get. The Sharp Dressed Man aftershave (with menthol) finished things up nicely. Have an outstanding weekend my friends!

Just suppose you wanted to maximize your profit by saying a product is made in the U.S.A. I will pay more for products made in North America. If this product came in three pieces and you made 2 pieces in China and the third piece in the U.S.A. you could advertise the product as made in the U.S.A. as the one that says U.S.A. is made in America.

I see only one product made of 3 pieces in your picture. Curious.

Can someone please help me with these blades. I got them when I purchased my PAL InjectoMatic and I can't find any info on them. They are from Precision E R Products, they say Made in Great Britain on the side and the blades are black. The seller was from England if that helps. Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Today's Shave: Friday August 12, 2016

"Rex?" French hoe type razor of indeterminate origin
Rapide wedge blade (7 shaves since honing)
    The Grooming Co. synthetic brush
Chiseled Face Groomatorium Trade Winds soap & aftershave

The latest addition to my stable of French hoes is somewhat of a mystery. It was sold to me as a "Rex" but the only place that name appears is on the blades. There are no markings of any sort on the razor itself or the case, although it's obviously a French hoe. The only French Rex in Waits is a lather catcher similar to a Kampf Bros. Star - nothing like this razor. Googling turned up a L' Essor that looks identical, so perhaps that's it.

The other unusual feature of this razor is that it features a smooth guard bar instead of the open comb usually found on this type of razor. This makes it shave unlike any other wedge blade razor in my collection. This is somewhat puzzling as the bar doesn't really come into play with the proper shallow blade angle, but it definitely can be felt.

The two "Rex" blades have some tiny nicks in the edge that should be easy to remove and I expect them to hone up nicely. I didn't have time to do that last night, so I borrowed a blade from one of my Rapides for this morning's shave. Despite the oddity of the guard bar this is a smooth aggressive shaver, and I enjoyed a close, near BBS irritation free shave.

Excellent shave this morning with the PAL Adj. injector. This razor is perfect and wow do I love it! Wonderful, easy, slick, rich lather from the Speick shave cream. A joy to face lather. Three passes for a dolphin smooth end result. Have a great day friends. :happy069:

Hey Norcal, the Damaskeene is one of my favorite razors. Unfortunately, I don't think I've used mine any more than 4 days in a row and I see you using yours much more often. How are you liking it?

    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Williams Mug Soap
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Aqua Velva, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Budget shave today. The Williams pulled the disappearing act a little bit but not overly bad. It's actually really slick soap. I got a nice shave with it today and look forward to tinkering with it for better stability in the lather.

Two passes and I'm pretty darn smooth and smelling classic from the Aqua Velva. Nice start to Saturday.

    Have a great day!
