I remember I said. "I've never met a Schick Injector I didn't love...." This definitely includes the 'G' series...in fact I'm actively hunting for a 'G-8'; my birth year Schick...I'm lucky to have such a pretty Injector for a birth-year Schick...I'll be even more lucky if I own one...:happy102:

Don't you just love it, when you find the right instrument for the right job...:happy108:

It's not just you...I think here at the Den we have a lot of Denizens who have some of those same behavioral traits...I know when I commit to a hobby I like to have a personal hands on experience with my choices of equipment...So I can make my choices from experience rather than hear-say...When I was shooting I own almost every pistol one could think of...I couldn't afford to collect so I would buy. shoot hundreds of rounds and sell and buy something else...and after sending enough lead down range to make a car, I knew what I preferred, and what brought me the most shooting satisfaction....Same with musical instruments and cars and razors, blades....sound familier ?? :happy097:

I've had good luck with guns. Colt 1911A1. 17,000 rounds in it so far. Still perfect. I have tried many different pistols but nothing compares to it. I went through about 30 Les Pauls. Same with Telecasters and Strats. I am still working on that. I struck gold on knives with a World War II USN MK2 KaBar from a friend. I have an original Johnny Bench baseball glove that I have had since about '77. I have some damn fine fountain pens that I use everyday. If I don't use it I lose it. I found a brand new in the box unopened 1939 Coleman 220B lantern someone threw in the garbage. That to me is just amazing. That's 83 years of never being opened, until me.

As an experiment I just did a one pass shave with my 1912. It was just as good as a three pass shave. It might actually be better. My face is very smooth, not tight. I used my Old Spice and it didn't sting at all. I am happy as a clam. If this keeps up I think I am settled and ALL the other razors will be gone. Maybe.

i just got a cobra yesterday....will use it for the week with the feather blade and decide whether or not this razor gets kept or sold....its in competition with a mint condition Gem Open comb.

Nice score, on both razors. But why would you even decide to sell one and keep the other? Just keem 'em, both are extraordinary razors in looks and shave performance.

First Injector Shave. Didn't take a pic.. to early to take a pic, I had to get up about two hours early today.

Anyhow, I didn't hear angels sing but I didn't have a Freddie Kruger experience. ;)
I'm not even close to well shaven though.
I don't know if it was crappy technique or old blades.. I'm going to buy some new blades to eliminate that part of the equation.

Could be the angle...you know with the Schick you just hold it flat against your face...the angle is built in...
The Schick injector is famous for making the Angels sing...What blades are you using?

That's how I held it. I also tried just barely lifted on top.

The blades? I honestly don't know. They came with the razor in an all metal injector.

Could have been a bad blade...I have gotten one before, but I find injector blades to be more consistant than DE blades as a rule...You could try another blade from the same injector....How 'bout your 'prep' ?....

What's prep? Don't you just grab it and drag it across your face while watching the morning news?
    :p:p:p

The same prep I've used for 6 years with a DE. I'm a SE noob not a shave noob.

    That always works for me....:happy097:
Sorry man.....But I know sometimes for the sake of expediency I'll sluff on my prep and later think my shave suffered, and not even remember sluffing off my prep...;) sometimes I get great shaves too with no prep...just saying...
I have gotten bad blades before...in fact I loaded one last week that had that "Weasles Rip My Flesh" thing happening...but I changed it out after the first pass...:happy102:

WAKE-UP INJECTOR AND SE HEADS !! Wheres the Love?? Our Injectors and SE's need a night out too...The party's not over...lets get this thread rocking....Cats are starting to talk, that Injectors and SE's have fallen from grace with Shavers in the know!!
Lets see and hear some Love and Affirmations to these great alternative shave styles....
Lets see and hear about any Injectors or SE's that were received or procured since last November...
Lets hear your most interesting anecdotes, memories, or experiences concerning these great razors...

Lets also have a contest for the worst shave or cut....I took a plug out of my chin with a mild Schick while rushing for a date when I was 18...It bled for 2 hours, I missed my date, and kept the scar for over 30 years...The good side is the scar is very well lined up and kind of has a Cary Grant chin dimple thing happening....File this under "Home Face Improvement" the hard way...:shocked003:

Now lets get this partyup and rolling again...your Injectors and SE's will be glad you did....but no Schick Repeaters or Lather Catchers without an escort...You know how they can get out of hand, and this is a family site...

Fallen from Grace? Not over here :)
I've been using my E2 for months in a row. Best razor ever made (for me). Yesterday I had my Fatboy almost loaded with a blade and then decided to take one of the Schick adjustables.

But you're right, this thread is far too quiet.

Use my injector every day. I shave most of my face with a straight. Shave around my lips with the injector.

The love is always there..:love029: I use my EverReady 1924 for the First pass of my Three pass shave everday. This thread has me thinking I'll use my type D Schick instead of the 1924 next week...:)

I liked the ease and closeness of the Schick 66 that my father used so I picked up a Schick Dial Injector to see if that would be any better. WOW! :shocked003: At #4 or 5, with a coated Ted Pella blade, I get a BBS with three passes, and I can get seven good shaves out of each blade. I tried the Chinese-made Schick blades, but they shred my face. My Muhle R89 and Gillette Slim Adjustable are going on vacation for a bit.
