I heart this thread. I can't wait to join the party! HWMOM let slip that I'll be getting an injector for our anniversary (which coincides w/ my 1st Shaviversary :)). I suspect it will be a Schick K1 or K2. Can't wait to see her outfit.

One potential problem is that I really like injecting the blades in his razors. With my Lady, I'll have to guard against premature blade changes. :o

    I'm so excited!

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

    First shave with a Hydromagic
Eversharp Hydromagic with Schick injector blade
    MWF
    Omega 49
    3 pass shave
    alum block
Witch hazel with added menthol crystals (just because I wanted to try it)
    Pinaud Clubman

Great shave with absolutely no irritation. I'm beginning to love injectors. And I like the Schick injector cartridge much better than the crappy plastic Personna cartridge, which made it a chore to load a blade.

I really like my Hydro-magic. In fact, I'm going to go have my 7th shave with it since I got it. I haven't used anything else in the past week.

I've been having that same problem with my I2H-M for quite a while,I don't feel like using my other razors much.

The other razors seeing any sort of action are:
Shick E2 , Eveready Streamline ,PAL Adjustable

The PTFE Personna injectors are working well for me,I have about 225 blades on hand,I'm seriously thinking of ordering another 200.From Connaught Shaving including shipping to my house it works out to 19 cents a blade.

    Be excited...be very excited....;)
and I know what you mean... a couple times as a kid I injected a whole pack of blades through my Pop's Razor...like fast...like the Rifleman or something...I loved it, but got in BIG TROUBLE :char039:...actually not really...I was scared for hours til my Pop came home, but he just laughed and was glad I didn't cut myself and made me promise not to do it again..but he started keeping his razor in places I couldn't get to after the second time...:happy097:.....

Got my wife a pink Lady Eversharp a couple of months ago and she loves it,the long handle is a plus. She got hooked when I let her use my GEM HW-Flat Top after she cut her shin shaving with one of those little pink plastic girly razors from the grocery store.Next move was to let her try an injector,I let her try my Stick Shick....Once she tried an injector it was game over, had to to get her the Lady Eversharp to get back the stick.

She doesn't have a clue where I keep my blades ;)

The great thing about the Schick injectors is that you can get a close shave even when you're in a hurry WITHOUT cutting or nicking yourself. Amazing! :bounce015:

So very young, yet already full of AWESOME! :D

Your pop sounds wonderful. I confess to thoughts of Razor Rifleman, but I'm supposedly a grown up :o & my poor guy already fears Schickpocalypse blade shortage. Thanks for a great story & for sheparding this thread. I've learned so much here.

I know those "little pink plastic girly razors"! I'm happy to hear that your wife enjoys her Pink Lady (& that you could repo your Stick!) Hmm...I now suspect the real reason behind my gift :kar: :p

My pink girly senses tell me that Mrs. Razorx knows exactly where you keep the blades, but kindly feigns ignorance. That way if something is missing, your memory will be suspect instead of her. :innocent

I suppose our vows will have to read "In sickness, in health & in-jector blade shortage..." :)

Nice little haul there. The clog-pruf is part of my regular rotation and you can get some great shaves with it. Hope you enjoy them!

I've found that thinking about baseball or which bills need to be paid helps prolong the blade changing process.

You are wise. I will think of bills next time. Baseball thoughts may be dangerous for two fans who came of age in the "juiced" longball era. After the last Home Run Derby, we had a contest to see who could eject the blade farthest :o. Forgive me, Schickizens, I know I've sinned. I will redeem myself & think of England bills during future blade changes.

Those of us equipped with nothing more than dinky little injector blades less than one third the size of a single edge tend to overcompensate at times....
