Schick Adjustable on 5 worked really well this morning. Nice shave. This is an enjoyable razor to use. I need to try some more of the settings as I seem to be stuck on 5. Nice result in the end.

Totally agree about the difference between G and E. The G is my perfect second shave of the day razor. The E is a Tasmanian devil on meth. I love it.

If you like the E you should love a PAL Injecto-Matic or the Hussy (the Schick H.) They will blow the E out of the water. YMMV, of course, but be forewarned if you haven't already tried these.

 

I have an Injectomatic, and maybe it's just my not finding the angle just right or something, but I get more oomph out of the E. I would rate it like a G and a 1/2.

Never tried a Hussy. I honestly just can't get over the shape. It just doesn't look "shave-able" or something.

More from the here's why Jeff can't have nice things file, a trimmed to fit Permasharp DE blade in a Shovelhead. Yes it works, very well. What's the point? You will recall my last headshave with the Shovelhead required touch up with the Shake Sharp.I've now done two headshaves like this and it gives a closer shave than a Gem. Sorry, it just does. Among me SEs only the Shovelhead cap is deep enough to accept the trimmed at the sides DE. Aggressive, loud, and very very enjoyable shave. I used two injector blades as shims under the DE, YMMV on that complication.

If you don't have a Schick blade in it you may want to try that. I've tried it with with every NOS and current injector blade around and nothing beats the Schick IMHO. And, if you are already using a Schick, well, I don't know what to say other than some razors take some getting used to - or it isn't the right one for you.

 

U gotta get a Hussey, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I think you're right. Thing is, I am trying to get rid of razors, not get more.... I have four injectors I really love, thinking to get rid of the rest as it is.

Two words come to mind that perfectly describe this shave: Oh My! This was my first ever use of any B&M product and it's outstanding. Very slick, lots of cushion and a great post shave feel. To be honest the scent on the puck is so-so. Once it's lathered however it transforms: pleasant leather, subtle coffee that you almost get a full whiff of and it's gone only to immediately return, sandalwood and a nice light musk finish. The AS was very coffee forward the first 30 seconds but it has melded with the rest is the scents to create a perfectly masculine scent. Kinda like sitting in a thick leather chair in a house in the woods with the doors open and coffee brewing in the next room, I love it. I'm hopeful the scent has staying power because I'm lost what I'd pair with it if it fades quickly. I skipped the Osage tonight so I could get a "true" scent of this combo. Have a great day folks!
