1919 Penn Adjustable. Billy made heroic efforts to hack the Penn a couple years ago (which can be done but is involved), but I decided to go stock. Solid DFS with some touch ups (ATG is not to be expected with these blades), much better than expected.[IMG]

    Blade: Chick
    Strop: Drygulch 45
Brush Handle: B-400 The Brush by Tom
    Knot: APShaveCo Tuxedo
    Soap: Route 66 Barbershop Hop
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Alum
    Osage Rub
    Fragrance: Penhaligon's Bayolea

Wonderful shave this morning, it's been too long since I've used a soap from Route 66. Fantastic scent, great protection and the razor just slid across my face. One pass with the Supply and two with the Chimera and I ended up just short of a BBS shave. The Penhaligon's is a great match to this soap, I love the scent and post shave feel. This was a great way to start the day. Have a great day folks!

Not the best but close. Try a lather catcher to get the best. YMMV of course.. but probably not.

Okay guys, I was in RiteAid and saw these blades as well as the RiteAid brand. I read the back and they're manufactured by the American Safety Razor Co. I believe that's who makes the GEM correct? Are these boys any good?

GEM, Treet, Personna, Ted Pella, Star, Rite Aid, Quickie Mart, CVS are all the same manufacturer. Some have said the Treet is ok, it would be a carbon blade.

After the Supply Single Edge just had to be a PAL outing. Can guarantee a nice smooth shave with the PAL,
today perhaps not as close as I get with other PALs in the stable. Quite odd how the same model of Razor
    can shave differently.

You Sir have hit the jackpot. Those are outstanding blades. Just remember to dry them off after you finish. They are smooth from the first shave to the last. That is how I feel about them. I prefer the CS over any of the SS blades.

    Proceed down the path....

So, I'm three shaves into this foray.
Things are going good. But at the risk of angering my SE brothers, my NEW/GSB or SA-109/Voskhod give a closer shave. That being said I now have another vintage tool in the toolbox.
