Tom I'm going to take you up on your kind offer.
I tried to straighten it out but it did not work and I don't want to take a chance on damaging it any more than what I have.
It keeps popping the blade up on the left blade stop.
Send me your PayPal account number and what you want for shipping and I'll get right on it.
    Thanks Ron

Just dropped it off at the post office. There is a blade container with the razor. Do not use. They are the originals that came with the razor. Just load a fresh blade. There is the factory blank in it now.

    Enjoy.

I'm confused... Ejecting this blade and making sure a new one seats correctly won't be sufficient to fix?

So I was very busy today emptying my wallet. I got 5 new SE's today, 3 Injectors and 2 what appears to be NOS GEM's. The GEM's are why I am here. I need a little help identifying model and year of these two beauties.

The one with the plastic handle is a Feather weight. The plated one is a G-bar.

Maybe someone else has already weighed in but looking at the pic I'm wondering if the blade is resting on top of the left blade stop. I had that happen with a Schick one time and it wasn't pretty - it cut me up pretty bad. :shocked003:

Well darn it I hit the wrong button. I wanted to add some more photos but @twhite was quick on the draw and posted that they are a G-Bar and a Feather Weight. I just want to show off what I got, so....

I am pretty sure it won't.
When I get the G1 from Tom I will load another blade into my dad's to be sure.
No matter what I am not chancing dropping it again.
This is not the first time I have dropped something in the shower.
I have neuropathy in my hands and familiar tremors.
It's a crap shoot whenever I shave.... just saying makes shaving a tad interesting. :bounce017:

Will be a sticky across the street!!

    Glad you sorted it out!!

Attaboy Tom!! That's how we roll!!

Those are great razors. The heavy flat top (G bar) is a very underrated model I think. I want one of the injectors with the translucent handles. Great scoop!!

First shave of July was awesome. As a nod to @Knox i went with Burma Shave soap and brush. The Schick stick is loaded with a twin blade...awesome sauce all around!! Still playing with prep. Does not seem that important anymore.

Ok I just got to unbox a new one that will be my next SE SOTD.
What a way to start off July 1 with a brand new razor.
Hopefully some one will be able to tell me what I got.
The seller had no information about it at all.
It's of course a Valet AutoStrop.
    I got it off eBay.
It looks great. I can't believe how small they are.
In the pictures they look so big.
It came with a equally tiny strop in better then I expected for a razor strop that old.
    They look brand new.
I am sure it wasn't use and if it had it could only be a couple of times.
I bought it to strop my Single Edge Feather FHS-10's that I got for my OneBlade Core razor.
I also have some Feather Seiken blades that I got from Japan.
They came in today too along with one more DE razor that has a 4 inch handle.
Also with it came three more SS handles that are 4.5 inches long.
I like to have long handles to balance in my hand.
This has been a day that did not start out real well for me but this along with the generosity of Tom has turned into a pretty oakie doakie day.

Nice looking VC-1. I would not expect much from the stropping. Always seems to make the blade worse. It's fun to play with though. And the Valet is a awesome aggressive feeling razor!!!

Photobucket changed its ToS so the pics are not posting but this thread from across the street has some good valet information

    Hey that's great... I think.
I had no idea what I was getting or what condition it was in.
I was more than mildly surprised of the condition and what it is.
I'll be able to slide my Feathers right into it.
Not only to shave with but also to strop the blades.

    Ok I am chickening out.
I am not shaving with it till I play with it some.
I am going for the safe and easy play.
Breaking out the Gem 1912 with the long wooden handle.
Not even going to try one of the SS handles.
If anyone has any advice on how to load a Feather or how to use it please let me know.
    Thanks

You have more restraint than me - I'd be just itching to see if a new blade changes things - and if not, what could I put pressure on to ease it back into shape. :D
