I just stacked 2 blades together. Works like a charm.

The curvature of the blade in the head is such that you can just use two stacked blades, the second acts as a shim. A bit more stable that trimming a blade would be. Just something I discovered by accident. I only get this working reliably in the Bakelite razor whose posts are a bit higher than subsequent versions.

Looks good. The E3 had tabs on the spring, but the spring doesn't open.

PS That enough lather for everybody!

After a day of doing chores around the house (changing the oil in the Wifes car then mowed the yard) I got cleaned up and did my Monday morning shave Sunday evening. I did a Monday Menthol shave with C.O. Bigelolw. I didn't shake out enough of the water from my brush so the lather started out with some big air bubbles added some more soap and had lather enough for the next three shaves. I had lather all over me and the bathroom. On the floor, up on the counter top, all the way up too and on the mirror.

Used my OCMM for the third straight shave(a weeks worth of shaves). Kept the PAL blade from the last shave it gave no issues even after at least 12 shaves on it. Keeping the head flush against my face during my two pass shave left me with a DFS. This razor is going into my rotation rack. I am going to go back to the CPMM next to compare the two. I will keep you posted.

Now I just need a Flying Wing to complete the set and my MicroMatic Journey. Someone has offered to loan me one to test it out. I may have to take him up on that.

Once again the 1914 Ever-Ready "mini lather catcher" gives me an easy BBS, Carbon Rite-Aid blade on 2nd shave had no issues and Kiss My Face slickness is amazing! [IMG]

How do you like that after-shave lotion? I've never seen that one before.

This Razor performs really well with the Schick Blade, and I actually prefer it to the General.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did the two passes with the Schick E2 and Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Razor: M3 Schick Adjustable (3)
    Blade: Schick Proline B (1)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Friday's shave with the Adjustable was on a setting of 5. I wasn't totally happy with the reduction so I decided to try a higher setting on Saturday; this had a similar disappointing reduction. For today's shave, I decided to go counter-intuitive and drop down to '3'. It was immediately obvious that something was off with the blade, so I loaded a new Proline. The result was a very smooth shave and a near-BBS with no issue until right at the end when a momentary lapse resulted in a nick on the edge of my upper lip. That took a while to stop bleeding.

I should be receiving my Schick '500' today so that will probably be tomorrow's razor.

Have you posted about the "500" yet? In "The Haul:" or "What are you waiting on" threads?

I'll have to look for it. When it shows up post picks. Got to love that razor porn.

Bakelite Shake Sharp with twin Rapira Super Steel. Ultimately close but not the smoothest I've had in the Shake Sharp. The BICs in the stacked configuration did not work well so thought I'd give these a shot, no prior experience.[IMG]

This seems quite small after using some of the Large AC Se Razors. The Shave took little longer than usual, and though very smooth and comfortable not sure that this blade is delivering the best finished Shave I have had with this favourite
    Razor.
