Injector & SE Party !!!

I thought about using Never dull, but thats just a temporary fix.

 

Try it first....Sometimes tarnished gold can take a little elbow grease to bring back but then it stays shiney for a while....

4.25 out of 5 (2 passes on face and 1 on head) Near BBS but I am not chasing it. A nice relaxing shave!

 

Well, Lloyd I have been neglecting some other razors due to testing and family issues so when I got "The Grip" I decided to give it a whirl. It really does shave well. It has a good grip and is smooth and easy!

Great Shave! The Barbon was everything it was billed to be. Excellent cream!​

 

Thinking about giving injectors another chance.

 

Get a good longer handled injector from the late 1950s through the 1970s.

Types J - L are really good candidates. If you can get a M (Dial) all the better. Be sure to get some Schick blades to get started before trying other brands.

I really like them. I'm kinda stuck on the Hydro-magic (I2) but I hear the J & L shave pretty close to the same.

 

I have the I2 as well but it seems that more of the Js and Ls are available (maybe longer production runs and / or quantities). I have a J1 without the Hydro-magic lever and the J3 with the Hydro-magic lever. Both shave great.

 

I think my problem is the blades. Every time I've used a platinum coated blade, my face got really irritated. Admittedly, my technique wasn't very good, but I am still platinum shy.

 

The Schicks don't say Platinum on them. Not sure if that means anything though. Drugstore.com was about the cheapest place for Schick blades last I looked.

 

The NOS Schick Platinum Plus ROCK!! but for Ryan maybe those NOS Personna 74's will do the trick...Never heard of anybody who didn't love those... They cost a little more but they have like 'Guinness Book' longevity...

 

I pulled out my Schick M about 3 weeks ago and have not looked back. It is such a great razor. I also use the Schick blades. They do seem to be the best. They are smooth and last a long time. I love the feel of the long handle, and its shape makes maneuverability simple.
