I'll be be the judge of that. Send it to me to see if it looks better in person or not.

Much nicer than mine which I got cheaply because, based on the end of the handle, the original owner was either trying to quit smoking or had a puppy.

    Razor: Schick G8 Injector
    Blade: Chick
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

I'd been talking about the G8 over on another forum, so I decided it was a good day to pull it out. I ended up with a most excellent shave with no issues.

When I first started out learning how to use a straight razor I joined three other forums. It was there I was told that SRD's soap where some top shelf stuff. So I bought the samples of there soaps. I believe they are a glycerin base soap though I am really not sure. The Ylang Ylang is a nice smelling soap. I have found that I lean a little more toward softer soaps and sticks and have not used the SRD in awhile, that is why I used it today. Now before I was able to use it with out any problems that I could remember. Today though, I found it lathered well enough but the lather just didn't last long. A water to soap ratio issue. I have just forgot how to lather it up. I will use it again on the Monday shave.

I am hoping for a FWMM(Bullet Tip) to come in the mail today from a guy across the street so I choose the CPMM to set a base line to compare the bullet tip to. It was also next in the rotation(I used the Type L1 last) as can be seen from the stand in the background of my photo. A two pass shave with a small touch up left me with another great shave. After a cold water rinse I am ready to take on the world.

Pretty nice shave with the Pushbutton today. Didn't do as well on the point of my chin, but that's a tough area regardless. Everything else is pretty smooth. Great lather from Route 66 and a nice finish with the Barbasol splash.

    Have a great Saturday!

Thank you Vince. My creative juices have been flowing these past few months. I need to act when it happens. They will tend to shut off suddenly.

A Sunday Shave not going anywhere, did not push for ultra close. Finding needs care when setting blade and securing head and handle, blade can become misaligned.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Arko Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did the two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher and vintage Gem Jr. blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
