I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Arko Extra Performance Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #216 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem G-Bar razor and a CVS SE blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Clubman Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Fat Friday detour of A Stirling SEptember

    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick E2 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Schick E2 this morning. It certainly has a different feel than my other injectors. Light, light pressure! Smooth and comfortable shave in the end.

    Have a great Friday!

Sounds like a Mayham thing but I may have to go home now and see if I can get it to work. If you can get injector blades to work in a GEM TTO does it work the other way also? Will a GEM blade work in an injector?

    Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
    Brush: 24mm Silvertip, Frank Shaving
    Soap: Gravity, Uncle Jon's
    Razor: Superior 1900 Lather Catcher
    Blade: Treet (1)
Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse and Clubman After Shave Lotion, Pinaud

I used Uncle Jon's Gravity Shaving Soap for the first time today. The scent on the soap I would describe as "Good". On the Uncle Jon's web site it lists the scents as: "Top Notes: Crisp Alpine Air, Mandarin, Bergamot, Mid Notes: Black Pepper, Cardamom & Dry Notes: Vetiver, Suede, Vanilla, Teakwood" I loaded my brush about 30 seconds. Which is typical for me, maybe a little longer than normal but not by a lot. I faced lathered and was given a nice thick lather with a good slickness. Overall impression of the soap is "I would buy it again".

Today's razor I went back to the LC. I shaved with the LC last, back on the 19th. At that time I had a well used Treet blade in it and it left a lot of room for improvement. Today I put a new PAL blade in it and was well rewarded for it. I never felt the blade. No lie, it was like taking a hot knife to butter. I felt like I was shaving with a table knife. That was how smooth the shave was. After two passes I looked clean shaven. Though I still had plenty of soap left in the brush and was having a shave that dreams are made of so I did a XTG third pass. Finished it all off with some Clubman AS. Don't know if it was the right pairing as far as scents but it will work for today. I was left with damn near BBS. I don't know if any dolphins would cry over the smoothness of my face but I believe I would fit into a pod.

I love "Rum Runner". There's no Bay, but the scent doesn't need it. When this one runs out I'll be getting another.
