Today used the 1924 again, this time without a Shim. Though not quite as smooth a shave, it was still comfortable
with more blade feel , shave accomplished with no mishaps. The overall finish is great.
I guess what has happened is that over a period of time my shaving technique has improved a lot, which allows me to switch razors and get decent Shaves without any major problems.

At work the Benefits Department is hosting a MOvember thing, well I'm participating and the Wife was not overly joyed with the idea. I normally keep a round beard but had to shave it off this morning for MOvember. It always feels funny after shaving off facial hair one typically keeps.

Now back to the shave. This morning I used my Arko/Williams mix cake with the boar brush. Made a really good lather for taking off the hairs that normally stay on my face. The General and a Kai Pink w/ eight shaves on it made short work of my round beard. Two passes and once again I have a DFS. Finished off with my youngest Avon AS(I believe), Brisk Spice. The Brisk Spice is some where between 30-40 years old.

GEM Featherweight with a New Treet Carbon SE.

BBS but took more effort than the 1914, 1912 or 1924 - still a GREAT shave with ZERO blood or irritation - I was in no rush, since I shave at night...

Yesterday's shave of the day 11.3.2017 (no shave today)

    Head Shave Only:
    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Brush: VDH badger
Lather / Cream: Barbasol Sensitive Skin travel can + Cremo Lathering Cream Sandalwood http://theshaveden.com/forums/threa...m-travel-can-experiment-sensitive-skin.57755/
    Razor: Pal adjustable injector
Blade: Chinese Schick (3rd or 4th use I believe)
Post-shave: Thayer's WH, Afta Original AS Skin Conditioner, Skin Bracer

The combination of the Barbasol and Cremo lathering cream provided an excellent, slick, protective layer for my shave. I never achieve BBS on a head shave, but it was a DFS, nevertheless with this Pal razor set on #3. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am sure one of you Guys has done this before , after a Shave with an OCMM which was a bit harsh in certain areas, I wondered how a different blade would go. After a bit of fiddling got an Injector Blade to fit securely against
the bump on the bottom plate and the lugs on the cover. When the Cover was lowered the blade lay flat on the bottom plate. Nothing ventured I loaded up for Todays Shave, with a Razor in Reserve.

The Back up Razor was not needed, as the Combo was very smooth but efficient. I ended up with a great Shave, which honestly was more enjoyable than the one of yesterday with a Gem blade in the OCMM.
