I tried the star trek adjustable in a passaround and I couldn't get a real close shave either

After Shaves with the 1912 the 1924 is a lot more aggressive, and a shave with one must not be rushed. By taking care I was pleased to be rewarded by a great Shave with an ultra close finish. I was very aware when doing finishing work that it was important to keep the lather refreshed to keep the razor running smoothly.

The PAL's are totally different animals then Schicks and you really have to nail the angle (which for me is only a degree or two off from the cap being totally flat against your face.) When you do hit the angle though watch out, you are guaranteed a close long lasting shave!

:signs011: Yep! My very wise and articulate friend has nailed this with a very astute observation, in which I whole-heartedly concur.......:lam:

Maybe my sincerity is only exceeded by my verbosity, lol....but Linux here, as usual, is "spot on!"

And "Love the Holidays" you should do....and one way is to ask Santa for a couple SE's and make sure you show Santa how to use e-bay...:happy102:

The PAL Injectomatic with a Chicks is definitely a Schick buster!
In terms of the PAL Adjustable - the angle is more finite and requires a deft touch to find it.

Ditch the Pella and use a Chick. See if that works. If not send that bad boy my way. PAL and I get along famously.

After less than 24hrs from my last Shave with an ER 1924, chose to use an ER Natural Angle [ British "G" Bar] as a safer/mild Shave. Though I love the feel of this Razor I find it not to be ideal for me, as with a heavy beard I have to
work extra hard to get that Close Finish. Must be perfect for those with lighter beards.

    Tom,
Do you need someone to second the motion;), or perhaps we need to keep the numbers up.

I NEVER said I use them just that I hung on to them as they were my birth year razors.

I cant stay away from SE's razors - I wanted to use DE for a month, but the TREET 1912 baton handle was calling me!!
New PAL Super Blade - the 1st shave on these blades are the best - none of this stroping nonsense - just load the blade and shave, smooth and sharp from shave one !!!

I was wanting to get away from the PAL for a bit so I went with the GEM 1912 with the scrapper blade. I stropped the blade another 25 times before the shave. During the second of a three pass shave I thought I was able to put my finger on the scent of the soap as to me it does not smell of tobacco. I thought it may have been English Leather. After comparing the soap on my brush and a bottle of English Leather AS they are not the same scent but would pair very nicely. Tomorrows set up.

Todays shave was very smooth and comfortable even with the fact that the blade may not have been for shaving. Three passes left me with damn near BBS shave. So close in fact that you would have to go back to the film to see that it was not. I have a feeling that blades will now last me quite awhile.

You two really need to send you photos into OneBlade for their advertisements. Both photos are of that quality.
