My experience is that the 1912 is least aggressive of any of the SEs

Ok a little late getting to the group but here is one of my injectors. The Hydromagic

Wow, you don't see the chrome I2 very often. Nice!

They made the Hydro-Magic - my now-favorite injector - in nickel?!? Great. Just great. You know what that means.

Yep, and they aren't real common.

Yes you did, but I've developed a strong resistance to it. A few years ago...I'd already have saved a new search for it on the 'bay.

I really hate to do this, but would that make a Featherweight a good first SE ?

    I take it it would?

As one who, as a brand-new, inexperienced wetshaver, naively started out with a 1912 1924...yes, it would indeed (that was just my mileage, though).

I prefer the Push Button. Both are equally mild though the FW has more blade exposure. But it doesn't mean much to me. I started with the ER 1924- perhaps the most aggressive SE there is (yes more than the infamous MMOC IMO) and I get fantastic shaves out of it. By the third shave I pretty much mastered it.I never got cut with it when I learned with it. I can't even remember the last time I've gotten cut with it. The PB cut me quite a bit at first actually. And the FW gave me one of the worst cuts I've ever experienced. The thing is that with the '24 it is so easy to not get carried away whereas I underestimate the mild razors. I can feel the sharp thick blade on my skin at all times. I'd recommend every SE for a beginner.

Only SE I truly didn't like was the Bullet Tip. It has a pathetic amount of blade exposure and is so mild it always tugs. But some people, @Jayaruh , love it.

You are right my friend. I do love the bullet tip. Mine is a fine shaver.

This is why I like this board so much: you and I have 180° opposite experiences on not one but two razors (PB and The Eye), yet neither of us is wrong and there's no ungentlemanly conduct as a result. You don't see that much on the 'net these days; it's refreshing.

I agree the push button is my favorite non-injector.

Correction to the post above: it was the 1924 that I first tried wetshaving with and it tore me up good. I would not recommend it right off the bat.

Used my Schick J1 yesterday for an outstanding shave. Didn't care for the Schick Korona blade that came with it so I found an old K-mart blade that did fantastic. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1402486732.025703.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1402486732.025703.jpg
