Delish but, then again, I'm a Samuel Smith fan. :D

Yes sir - Sammy makes a good stewie. I also like the Oatmeal Stout. That has kept me through many a Chicago winter ;)

I think I have about a dozen various Samuel's in the garage at the moment. The 4th is coming up fast! :drool

Problem: because I have been drinking IPA's consitently for the past few months, every other beer tastes like water

Thats funny Joe. I was thinking the same thing the other day. I'll drink a Bud Light and look for the hop profile...only to find that it is devoid of any hops. Lets not even talk about the taste...

The bad thing is that I'm becoming a beer snob. Unlike being a music snob though, being a beer snob can get expensive!

1 mistake Ed, you drank a bud light

I am not a beer snob but even I don't touch that stuff, rather a PBR over Butt Light. :D

So far, this is the best IPA I've had. Note, I believe this is Bottle conditioned. Ed - get your IPA to taste like this, and put me down for a 55-gallon drum every week

ON a related note, I hade a couple Sapporo drafts today at Big Bowl, and couldn't taste them  (IPA effect)

Thats because youre drinking double IPAs with 100 IBUs!!! That makes my mouth pucker just thinking about it. The typical IBU for IPA is between 40-75. Harpoon is about 42. The one I just brewed should end up around 50ish.

That 9.9% ABV aint bad though. Hopefully we should be getting some good high gravity beers around here now. They just got rid of the law saying you can't sell a beer in SC above 5 ABW (~6% ABV). Also for some stupid reason, they measure by weight, not by volume. I'll be on the lookout for double IPAs, Doppelbocks and Barleywine!

Heck no. Someone dropped off a case of Dos Equis and a case of Sierra Nevada.

I hear that.....Sapporo was the only Japan-beer they had on tap. I prefer drafts :D

Joe, you are my friend, so you can't hit me for this, F the Draft!

    Bottle! Bottle! Bottle! :rofl

No, draft brew is not bad but I don't like my "darker" beers warmer then ice draft. Ya Dig Homey. :D

I definately prefer draft. Less chance for off tastes and bad transportation. I usually pour the bottle into the appropriate glass anyways. Got in the habit from drinking homebrew which ends up with a layer of yeast on the bottom. I'd keg my homebrew too if I had room.

Oh , this debate could go on forever. Definitely bottle. Depending on the brew I either want it ice cold or slightly less than room temp or room temp. Kind of like wine for me.
