Saturday night saw the lowest November temperature in Wales ever recorded. Minus 17.3 celsius.
My washing machine in the garage has stopped again.
    Brrrr.

It hasn't quite reached 0F here yet, but it's not far off.

Speak not to be of cold and chills. We in New England discuss weather not by temperature but by wind chill factors. As in "it's going to be 32F but the wind will make it feel like -200 below(slight exaggeration for effect). Then again, I believe you and I fall in the same longitude/latitude within reason so I think we share about the same temperatures so I feel for you. I never look forward to January and February for the extreme bite the cold air has.

Sounds like a good time for your famous cawl :D

Quite right. I made some last Friday and we finished it off over the weekend. My cooking skills are not going to win me any awards but I have to say I make the best cawl. Good healthy, simple, tasty (not to mention cheap) fare. A light sprinking of ground white pepper over the top gives it a lovely warmth. Fresh bread and butter dunked into the bowl. mmmmmm.

    Recipe available upon request.

I request the recipe. I seem to have lost it and I've been telling my wife I want her to make some.

Oh, and thanks for making me hungry. :D
