Primo beat me to it, but I was just going to say that, then you unlock the american artisans, which would give you dozens more top quality choices at a lower price.
I agree with Pannacrema Nuavia as the best Italian soaps (maybe some of the best soaps worldwide). Acqua di Parma comes in second and the Tcheon Fung Sing produced soaps from Abbate y la Mantia shares third place with Saponificio Varesino
Ahhh, but you miss the point ... He should not focus (hypothetically) on Hungarian soaps, just because he would be Hungarian, but Americans do promote "buy from your own country" soaps all the time
As others have mentioned: Cella. It gives a really nice slick shave. I have it as one of my regulars.
I Coloniali is one of the best soaps I've tried ever, from any country. It is out of production now but you may still be able to pick up a puck of it if you hurry.
As I write this, there are still nine available on Amazon. I don't know where else to try. The regular vendors I frequent are all sold out.
wait 3 months for ebay to start showing the soap up. if an art of shaving refill puck sells for 35 on bullgoose,, I expect an I coloniali soap to sell for 60-80 each by then. but you must do yourselves a favor and get some cella in the lil red tub. It just lasts and lasts.
The top three Italian shave soaps that I like are Cella, Cella, and Cella. Which remains me I need to buy some.
I hear you. I didn't either, but broke down and went for it. It's a pretty hard soap, so it'll last a long time, and I figure the pot must be worth ten bucks or so. (as he tries to justify to himself....) I do have to say that after a couple of shaves with it, it is top notch soap, but the scent is amazing. Maybe kind of what I hope heaven smells like.
