January 29 G2 (Birth year) Gillette FB Perma-Sharp Super (2) Semogue Owners Club Two-band Finest Jabonman Eufros Oriental Breeze Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, Fine L'Orange Noir, and Terre d'Hermes Two passes with my birth year FB for a really nice shave before church. This set up yields some fairly predictable shaves, regardless of the blade choice. I get great shaves with all three of the Russian blades I've tried this month - Astra SP, Polsilver SI, and Perma-Sharp Super. My favorite, by a small margin, is the Polsilver SI. It's plenty sharp and super smooth. I'm ready to move on to the February focus and try something different. I picked up this FB on eBay in 2015. It was one one of my first vintage Gillette purchases. The seller told me it came from an estate sale. I assume it was in Alabama, since that's where she was located. See spotted it in the kitchen window when she went through the house. I've purchased a few vintage razors since that time, and I always thought it was fun to ask the seller about the razor's history. Have a great week!

Guys, all of this just dawned on me..... I made a purchase last year from Adam (@Drygulch) that included some soaps and aftershaves. In the mix was the fateful bottle of Osage Rub that he went nuts with eventually leading to his CT. I recently made a trade with Jared (@PickledNorthern) for the Osage Rub. He is now the proud owner and user of the fated bottle. Jared - hopefully it treats you better than it did for Adam! Funny provenance for sure.
Yes, once I feel I have the angle dialed in correctly, I'll start turning it up to see how it goes. What's the worst that could happen?

No, sorry... That isn't even the picture I meant to put up. i was cooking dinner..... Does this make more sense?
I'm glad that little Ose is living his dream. He told me he wanted to be able to make an impact. Touch men in ways that they always remember, and in his small green way, be important.
