Another day off from the shavettes today. It was just an epically cold shave, and a near perfect result. I love that menthol.

It was very funny. My wife is so used to that kind of humor that she wouldn't even flinch anymore

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    Stirling Frozen Tundra
    Gillette SS
    Kramperts Finest Frostbite AS

I was definitely running late this morning, and luckily, this razor lends itself to a quick, almost careless shave. Two quick passes behind some great Stirling lather, and I was done. Skin is nice and soft, with a little finish from the Kramperts. I hope everyone has a great day!

Not off of the top of my head. I have a note at home that tells me. I'll look for it tonight.

Thank you, I like the looks of it. How soft is it compared to the Plisson generation of synthetic knots ?

I can only compare to my Tuxedo knot. I like the Tuxedo better. It is softer yet has enough backbone.

Finally getting around to posting yesterday afternoon's shave...

    January 22, 2017

    Razor: Gem 1912
Blade: Gem by Personna SS (2)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free

So, I finally felt well enough from my cold to realize that I felt really scruffy and wanted a shave. Taking a page from another Denizen, I decided to go with the 1912 to take on the 2 1/2 days growth. The result was a BBS with a bit of noise from the Alum.

One scary moment, though... I'm prone to getting nosebleeds when I get a cold and will even get them spontaneously. One such occurred right as I was finishing up the second pass, right in the mustache area. Made for a scary couple of moments trying to figure out if I had sliced myself or what.

I find I like the 1912, but I'm not sure how it would do with the minimal growth I have if I shave every day. I'm thinking I need to find something like a Pushbutton or one of the other later Gem razors to balance it all out. Thoughts?

No shave for Monday, I'll pick it up on Tuesday.

Very classy. The black and white really made this photo pop.

With the 1912 and other super efficient SE razors, I find that I skip the WTG pass when I shave daily. Instead I just go XTG and ATG. Maybe try dropping either the WTG or ATG pass and see how that works for you.

Clint, thanks for the kind words! That's high praise considering the photos you've been posting! I hope your Monday is going well.
