I'm glad the Voskhod's are working well for you. I'll be trying them for the first time soon. I shave most days, and I mostly perform two passes as well.

I haven't tried the icy cold towel finish, but that sounds like a great idea. I'd throw a few drops of aftershave on the towel for good measure. ("Good measure" is man talk for aromatherapy. :) )

Jared, that's a great setup! What's your blade of choice for the Mongoose? Mine is the Feather Super Professional.

Thank you. Either the Feather Pro or the Supers. It kind of depends on the mood. I have been shaving so "intensely" with these shavettes for the last month that today I put a Pro in there. It seemed like shaving with a Tech.

Brian, I love the blade stamp on your straight razor. I'm always amazed by the workmanship and unique design of vintage straight razors. It's no wonder that some still produce great shaves after 100 years or more.

Nice set up, Jim. The SS really "pops" in the B&W photo. Have safe travels again this week.

I'm glad you're feeling better, and congrats on the BBS with the 1912. Sorry about the nosebleed. I can definitely see where that would alarm you during a shave.

As I recall, I saw that on YouTube where a guy was getting a straight shave at a barber shop. I bet that would work exceptionally well with a Bay Rum or a highly mentholated aftershave.

I know what you mean. I shaved with my Feather AC for about 6 months a few years ago, and it tremendously improved my technique. Shaving with a DE, or even with the Mongoose, is relatively easy in comparison with a shavette.

I agree. This razor is beautiful and a great performer. It's fun to think about where it's been and what has happened in its lifetime.

Great 4 passes (XTG both ways) for a near BBS. Getting good results from this blade. What a shave brush. It is simply amazing. The Route 66 Frozen Margarita soap and balm are great. Excellent product Kathleen. :happy096:

Thanks for asking Charlie, Today was a Monday for sure but not to bad overall. Lots of extra little compliance steps this year to prevent people from filing tax returns in other peoples names. I understood it on the personal side but never thought people would think of doing that on the business side. Guess I don't think like a thief.
