I am already plotting to get two newbies and one SR vet all jacked up with premium Shavettes in March.

 

I'll try to do better next time. If it makes you feel any better I've had to reapply the styptic since posting that. And it stung. Bad. Ouch.

I believe we're going with February Favorites. Either use your favorite gear throughout the month, or discover a new favorite and master it. And I applaud your plotting. Nice work from the Yakuza. Much more Clemenza than Tessio there.

One of the very few razors I treat with respect all the time. Never turn your back on a OCMM. They do shave great though. they also love Will......oh never mind skip that.

It will not take you long. Well worth the fight. I prefer Carbon Steel in them to SS.

The SE config really does mimic the bevel feel of a straight, Injectors also, though not as strongly as SE. The newbies reading along should really consider a stop in SE land for 30-90 days. The thick SE blade stock is good practice for those eventually looking to get to SR. SE handles tend to be readily available on the internet at decent prices too.

Very good info. And I was suprised at how affordable the MMOC was. Ok Fuzzy @wchnu quickly settle this....MMOC or OCMM.....is there a correct one? And, for the edification of future SE shavers and myself, how many shaves would you expect a carbon blade to last or a stainless?

I put the OC first. I do not count shaves. They should both get 5-7 I guess. CS is just smoother to me. It does require more maintenance though.
