    Yep, me too. I'd love ideas on shaving the corners of the mouth with a straight. That's where I get most of my nicks these days.

    In my case, the whiskers are very coarse and I go ATG instead of XTG in that area. It's not every shave that it happens. I think I will try to go on an oblique angle to see if it helps. That's the toe at NW and heel at SE.

    I don't think alcohol based AS age you. Granted, I am quite a bit older than you, but I have been using alcohol bases splashes for a over 5 years, and honestly, my skin looks younger now than it did before I started. Those commercials against alcohol splashes are designed to sell balms. I do use balms as well, especially in the winter months, but more because my skin gets dry than for anything else. If you like the splashes, then I say use the splashes.

    I love your shave reports, Jeff! The photos are beautiful, the gear is always fantastic, but the candid report of how everything goes is what I enjoy the most. The rosewood handle, btw, is gorgeous.

    I tried an Axe product one time, and that was enough. I certainly don't fault anyone for wearing that, but it just isn't for me. Sounds like your nephew is on a good path.

    Ok, I want to say that I like my Dovo Shavette very much. However, in order for me to really understand you non-Dovo shavette shavers, I decided to purchase a Parker Professional Black resin scale shavette. Hey, it cost me $15 with free shipping, so why not!

    Photo, as always, is stunning--that Prismatic continues to impress me.

    Really cool, reflective report. With the exception of lavender and tobacco, I've shied away from florals because I was afraid they'd be too flowery (especially anything with rose). Your report has me seriously reconsidering that bias. :)
