Charlton Heston was on a No Buy.

    Yul Brynner was not.

So let it be videoed, so let it be done.

Thanks for understanding good natured ribbing Joe and unfortunately I also have a bunch of Northern Sarcasm bred into me according to my wife. :eatdrink047: @wristwatchb Charlie and I are currently in the back row of class 103 annoying the instructor and taking turns at the disciplinarians office
Charlie is it just me or does Jason seem unsure of which he's wanting, SB or OC plates ?? :D

Razor 1: Lupo Dual Comb .95 SB Side only
Razor 2: Yates Precision H Plate
    Blade 1: Astra SP (2)
    Blade 2: Wizamet (?)
    Brush: Rubberset 400 Oumo Boar
    Soap: Vintage Williams
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Vintage Aqua Velva
    Fragrance: Nautica Blue

1st off the lather was menthol enhanced with some 444 Balm Cream that is mentholated. Great cooling Williams lather set the stage for the comparing of 2 razors. I'm joining Gary @brit in a mini focus on Williams. Wish I could use it all week but want to continue the 1508.5 project for the year. I have 3017'd a Williams before but will be back to every other day for the week.

So I wanted to do a comparison shave and please understand that these are subjective and not a perfect test as you can tend to shave more strokes where you sense you need to to get the end result you are hunting and therefore it's not a perfect test to compare efficiency. I wanted to see if both razors would get me the same end result without irritation. The result "for me" was I got an extremely close shave the way I like. The Yates is the High polished one which I feel may have increased it's efficiency some but also made it not as mindless as it was stock in stonewashed finish. I plan a head to head with both Yates H plates tomorrow to conclude my experiment. Have a great day Guys !!!

And Paul, if they're not available, I have it on good authority that their offices are directly across from Dewey, Cheatem and Howe. I can ask Gyles to give them a call...for a small piece of the settlement, naturally.

Nice Rubberset, Dave. 3 or 4? Plus, I am unfamiliar with the Oumo Boars. Thoughts?

Thanks Joseph. Rubberset comes in 3 forms. No Number, 3 and 4 of which I have at present all 3 plus several extra ferrules made by Claudio @Clouds I'm told the difference in the 3 models was the loft the knot was set. The Oumo boar is a great knot that broke in quickly with the water/fridge method. I just wish I had a less tall one although this is a great one and looks close to what was original. Here's a pic of all except the #3. I'm still working on polishing the NO number one. The tuxedo knot is in the #4 ferrule.

    Shave Stick & Aftershave

For today's shave I decided to break out a couple of items I don't use very often. The BSB-2 shave brush and the La Toja shave stick. The BSB brush has a wonderful hand tied fan knot from Vie Long. The knot feels fantastic face lathering. However the handle is so small that I end up with my hand covered in soap which is certainly a first world problem. I wet my face and rubbed the La Toja stick around and began face lathering. This stuff is seriously easy to get a great lather. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. The Blackland Tradere OC is an automatic razor for me. A splash of La Toja aftershave and I am ready to attempt registering my mom for a Covid vaccine. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
