Razor: Hand Polished Yates 921 H Plate
    Blade: Wizamet (?)
    Brush: SV 2.0 Cocobolo
    Soap: SV Felce Aromatica 4.3
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Avon Windjammer
    Fragrance: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

Great shave with the SV Felce Aromatica paired with the Windjammer and Blenheim Bouquet. I'm thinking this Hand Polished Yates may be on the chopping blocks as I prefer the feel of the same model in the stonewashed finish. Bust day today and hope everyone has a good and safe day !

    Molton Brown Shave Soap

Happy Hump Day. Continuing into the dark confines of the shave cabinet, I found another seldom used soap, Molton Brown. Swati got this soap as a gift for me while she was on a business trip to Dubai. The scent opens with citrus over a woody base. I find the scent very pleasing and wish the scent strength was stronger. The soap is easy lather and provides good protection. I don't think it works as well as several of my other EU soaps like LEA. So I would recommend buying one of the others. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. A splash of Fine Green Vetiver and I think I am ready for the day. My headache is still hanging around but is much better than yesterday. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Sounds like you have a closet-full of seldom-seen shave goodies, Clint. Nice. Hope you have a great Wednesday and by 5pm the headache is history.

Fine shave Clint! If I am not mistaken, I believe you mentioned you are a diabetic. Is it possible that you sugar fluctuates too much that it may be the cause of your headaches or the blood pressure was a little out of whack? I hope that is not the case and that it is a stress headache.

SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 27, 2021

Today’s mug shave featured one of the older razors in the den, the Boker Sheffield Cast Steel French Point 5/8. The razor was masterfully restored a few months ago and delivered with a great edge. Cast steel does not hold an edge like silver or yasuki (Tamaghane) steel, and requires more frequent refreshes. Nevertheless, the shave was a three pass delight. The dome shave featured my FrankenFamex which consists of an ATT Atlas handle, a Rockwell Top Cap, and the adjustable Famex Cagehead baseplate. One tightens for less efficiency (mildness) and loosens for more efficiency (aggression). When loaded with a Feather blade she always delivers a flawless two pass dolphin smooth result. I added the A&E Post-Shave Serum to the mix and discovered the it appears designed to complement the great skin benefits of the A&E Shaving Butter. I feel clean, refreshed and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: H. Boker Sheffield French Point 5/8 (Mug), FrankenFamex
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    CREAM/CROAP: A&E Shaving Butter
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with A&E Post-Shave Serum.

I have way to much stuff hidden away Joseph. :D I have over 40 soaps and creams. Did you know that Thayer's makes a shave cream? Neither did I until my wife bought some from Target this week. Just what I need......another soap.
