Today's selection A Perfect Gent Very nicely scented soap, it is a close second to Sweeney Todd. I really cant see being without it.
This is becoming my second favorite scent behind Sweeney Todd. Very nice! Route 66 Perfect Storm B-400 Brush by Tom Dubl Duck Dwarf Lucky Tiger Ogallala Bay Rum Have a great Friday!
I am not doing the "month", but I do have 3 Route 66 soaps in my rotation now. I am on my 2nd jar of Bourbon Jungle and received jars of Lavender Woods and Sweeney Todd from my Secret Santa. I used the Lavender Woods again this morning. I usually only keep one scent per company on hand with one exception. Now I have two exceptions. With the three Route 66 soaps, I don't like one more than the other. That just does not happen! Great soaps, great scents!! Today
SOTD January 6, 2017 Blade: Kai Captain Mild Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk Brush: Artisan badger Lather: Route 66 Twisted Tweed Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Fine American Blend, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG Really enjoyed Twisted Tweed this morning. @clint64 described it as a crisp fougere scent. After learning more about fougere in the Scents section I would agree with that analysis. I'm horrible at describing scents, so I enjoy it when others can do it well! Excellent performance with terrific lather. First use with the Black Hawk and I enjoyed it. I'll elaborate more on that in my post in the Injector and SE Party thread. Nice shave everything considered. Route 66 is treating me really well so far this month. Have a great day!
Jan. 6th/ 3rd Route 66 shave of January This small boar with it's vintage knot produces plenty of Route 66 lather. A quick very warm water soak, load on moistened Barbershop Hop puck, and into the Japanese suribachi bowl granted just right slick, wetter is better, cushiony lather.
Thank you Doug! Jared @PickledNorthern inspired me with his collages so I have been trying my hand at the format. The Aristo I received in a trade with Tom @twhite . It's lost some plating on the cap, but it shaves like a champ! Trying to recall where the brush came from. Might have been part of an auction lot when I found a Stahly.
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat 1947 (Birth year razor) Blade: Feather Platinum (6) Brush: Fendrihen Silvertip Faux Horn Handle Soap: Route 66 Sea & Citrus Aftershave: Pinaud Citrus Musk A very, very close and near BBS shave tonight. Everything worked well together this evening. I kind of wish I was golfing today, but you'd never know unless I told you.
