@DaltonGang I haven't worn any down to that point yet of needing a total overhaul tho either , couple strokes on the film seems to bring them back to life in short order, and then a few laps on the ol shell and they're good to go
Japanese 3 pin Orko AAA super extra, this one was stunning , unbelievably sharp , everything about this one is superb !! Beautiful grind and balanced and the edge is unreal!!
Practically stole this henkotsu kami on a auction. 27 smackers shipped to my door , and man it's a damn fine shaver!
Super doll! There is something about this razor that is familiar to me and I can't quite put my finger on why, I feel like this brand is a precursor to a more popular Japanese line , the grind the style of the blade just screams it. Regardless its a laser beam.
Iwasaki tokiwa, kinda excited for this one . Looks to be in nice condition and I got it for a hell of price. I don't think it's tamahagane but I'm hoping it's still a great razor . If any of you guys have any info on this one please read me in
Well, I’m having issues posting images from my iPad since iOS 17, but let’s give it a whirl. I won my first JRazor auction in a while this morning, the right (or wrong) folks didn’t see this one I believe. Three razors for $235-ish, a Tanifuji Silver Steel and two Perfectworks Omega 35 that are likely Tanifuji or his partner Ilzuza. The images ren’t the best and the auction listing just said ‘Western Razor Bulk Leather Sale’ or something similar. The Etsy and eBay scalpers have been asking $500 or more for nice Tanifuji Silver Steel razors, so this is the kind of listing I’m will ing to gamble on a bit. And there are two Omega 35s so I don’t have to look for the second one for the pair!
Okay as a PSA to my fellow aficionados the above razor I posted weeks ago is fake , do not stop do not pass go! If your contemplating buying a iwasaki razor please reference the above pics and if it looks like this do not buy , I will link a blog below with more info. That said I was made whole and PayPal got my money back for me.
Thanks @Karl G !! Here's the link I promised! https://historyrazors.wordpress.com/2019/05/20/fake-iwasaki/
They’re here, and I made out well. Two Omega 35 shoulderless Perfectworks Silver steels and a Tanifuji 6125 Silver Steel. The Tanifuji is worth more than what I paid for the lot. They’re all 6/8, the Omegas have very light wear and small blemishes, the Tanifuji is nearly perfect. The Omega scales are cheap so these are good candidates for a re-scale.
