Absolutely, the cream of the crop. Beauties. I've bid on several Daishi, but always get outbid. Let me know how it hones up and feels.
A nice one that just arrived. It has a little frown, but should hone out and clean up nicely. "Yama Super Extra" For Barbers Use First Quality.
I posted in the "what straight razor did you use today" thread that I wasn't happy with the hone job I did on this left-handed kamasori, so I took it back to the stones last night. I hear ya, Tom. I haven't used a de in well over a year, and my beloved injectors are looking at the inside of a box. The only regret I have is not coming to the dark side sooner.
Today was my first full straight shave with no safety backup. I got a great shave without a safety and survived.
