Thanks for the detailed description. It is truly a gorgeous brush but so are the non LE versions as well. I truly admit that as much as I like different razors, I could easily have a bad case of BAD. ;)

Watch out my friend. The Mongoose could cool off your RAD.

Chris, I hope you and your friend in Murray are doing OK. I've never seen July weather like this before. Quack, quack, quack. The good news is that it appears to be past us.

Doug, thank you for the kind words. I was very fortunate to find it on eBay....beginner's luck. :) I hope you are having a great week.

Thanks Vince! I was all wet before it started raining. :) I hope you are having a great week.

Your den certainly seems to have more stuff in it than it did last month. You are going to have to get a storage spot soon! The fat handled Tech is one of my favorite DEs. I seem to like it best with very sharp blades in it, ones that are too harsh in other razors.

Neal, I hope you enjoy your Feather AC. As you get some experience with it, I would be curious to know how it compares to the CJB.

My Bride is glad that I enjoy using all my shaving brushes, but she's most happy when I wield a brush like this one.

Adam, you are a keen observer!

But my den (ie., my side of the sink) only looks like this when I'm shaving.

All the rest of the day it looks like below, otherwise SWMBO would really question my sanity.

However, I've found an empty book shelf that Ive commandeered as my Den.
It also has doors to keep things out of view!

Yes I have accumulated a few things in 7 weeks!
    (But not during July!)

    Cheers!

    - oh yeah, btw - I do have a few other razors that I've accumulated but am proud that I've shaved with just one so far - the Tech. Seems that it's not just a razor to learn with and build technique, but as you say - with different blades it makes a great everyday razor that so many people back in the day used for a lifetime.

The way I paint, my bride is more happy when I don't use one of those. :D

Keeping things out of view is especially important when it comes to keeping SWMBO happy. What she doesn't see she doesn't complain about. And, it's easier to say it's all PIF's when she does ask, with that sound and look that means "you should know that dear".

I'm definitely taking notes. I noticed today that the Feather seems better balanced and the grip is pretty nice. No thumb notch but not needed with the material it's made of. So far that's about it but I'm sure I'll have more as I get comfortable with it.

Well yes but it doesn't have 200 companions. Yet, anyway.

I used the platinum also, I found them sharp but a bit rough. I need to break out an Astra again soon.

    Nice photo today!
I came back to Silver Blue today. It was goooood. First time in a long while. Loved it! @Rufus T. tried one today too.
Like a trooper! Road warrior shaving!

You should make the mirror shot and die your signature photo composition technique. It's really, really cool looking.

I actually find it a little rough though plenty sharp, but I learned on Teflon Blades, so it is likely just not well suited to my style/skill/current razor. I think Teflon probably lets me get away with some stuff in an OC that I just can't pull off yet with a stainless/platinum finish. And thank you!

Also, saw your post about firefighting in CO. You sir have truly served your country twice. Thank you!
No fires near me now, it's really green and lush this week due to monsoonal t-storms.
