Nice job. The 1918 is a beast, but it can produce some magnificent shaves. I see it as more of an advanced razor, but you'll soon be mastering it as you continue to make progress.

 

I would definitely agree this is a advanced razor, but I learned from you about what kind of blade to use and to ride the cap always with this razor. Thanks for the advice, that was by far the most aggressive razor I have used to date!

The first pass was tentative but went alright. Much like @Drygulch, I found the light weight hard to manage. It took about five minutes... I used Barbasol in the @Norcalnewb pattern. Pass two was XTG and a bit harder to manage. I was able to keep the angle ok, but skipping was a bit of an issue. I'll call it a kinda good shave. I am far from bbs, but look clean shaven. The Alum was an absolute fireball, and Skin Bracer thanked me for being crazy enough to try. Nice work gentlemen. How are we gonna top this one in 2017? Popsicle shavettes, y'all...other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

Next year we use Tiger Blades.... How's that sound @NCoxSTL ?

I would suggest Tiger and a flexible straw. But if I did, I'd have to do it. So I won't suggest that.

 

And my Ladas isn't listed either.

 

I'm on board, you couldn't cut yourself with a tiger if you tried. I don't expect there will be any DFS or CCS results however.

Awesome!! I was just going back through because I knew my blade count was still off somewhere. Well then, the Magnificent Seven has become the Exceptional Eight!!! So it is 2 Astra. Sheesh! You'd think the blade czar could count blades at least. Thanks for the correction!

What, you think that could be a problem? Not at the Olympics. You know they are the most equal and fair system in sports there is. Yeah, I know, and the water in Rio is pure and clean too.
